Lake Charles - 2014 THP Invitational #2 Sponsored By Bridgestone Golf

Format for the Hilton Head Invitational has been released. If ours is the same (a big if), then here is what it will look like.

Front 9 - Combined Scores - You and your partner combine your two scores together for each hole. Total at 9 holes.
Back 9 - Shamble Combined - You and your partner both tee off. Choose the best tee shot between the two of you and play the rest of the hole out with your own ball from that best tee shot. Then combine the two scores from there.

18 hole combined score to be turned in after your round.

If anyone is interested, going to play Mallard Cove Fri morning 8ish then head over for the practice round at the casino course. PM if you'd like to play that morning.

I will tell you that I'm excite for the format this weekend. Not sure if JB will use the same format two events in a row. I really did enjoy the shamble in the Adams event, but I did have issues adjusting to it. I kept thinking that our group has two nice shots on the green, go ahead and try the miracle shot. Forgot that my ball counted all the way to the hole. I had that bite me in a few holes.

That threw Phil for a loop as well. It was an adjustment thats for sure.
 
I have one round under my belt. Second one this weekend. I will be ready. Bring on Lake Charles and the THP/Bridgestone INVITATIONAL.

You took the words out if my mouth!!! I'm filling in for my boss and one of my coworkers... both on vacation... this week has been rough!!! I need some golf!!!!!
 
I might go catch a round over there next week since I'm off all week if I do I'll get some videos or pics. Can't wait to see those I met in Dallas and meet those I didn't. I thought about going this Friday since I have to go to Orange to drop my daughter off at her moms but time schedule is iffy.

Looks like great golf weather next week. Wish I could take 2 weeks off & just play the courses in that area.

Well i wish I worked more often so I could buy more golf stuff, so we're even LOL. :). But even my wife said if I worked full time I wouldn't be able to play as much so I'm happy

I can't wait for this to get here....a couple of solid weeks of practice and hopefully I wont totally implode.

Hell to the yes! 2 weeks, we shall be ready and hoping to represent as well as the HHI contingent did!
 
2 solid weeks to get the game in shape. Whether it be playing or practicing, I'm putting in the work and leave it all out there. Yes Contraband Bayou I'm looking at you. #PunchingChampionshipTicket
 
Going to need to hit the short game practice hard in the coming weeks!
