Cobra Bio Cell and Bio Cell+ Fairway Wood Preview

OK ... thanks to THP I went with the Bio Cell ... plus they are $60 off the price now ... honestly I have never it a 3w this good and straight ...

Played a par 3 that was 217 ... in days of old that would have been a "lay up" hole .. judging from my range practice I thought I could at least get on the green, since I was hitting off a tee ... I was with 4ft of the pin ... I am not a big hitter!

I hit better off the deck than I have any 3w in the past ...

I am going back for the 5/7 wood as well ...
 
Glad you're enjoying it! It's a bomber for me when people don't throw **** at me in the middle of my swing.
 
First hole in my round today is a 393 yd Par 4. Hit my 3/4 bio fwy 227 right down the middle left me 166 to the pin. Getting the hang of this club and loving it. Need to work on it from the turf, but it is definitely easier to hit than my Mashie.

Didn't get it that way, but play it with one. Just a 1* loft difference in the stated setting on the adapter.
 
Really pondering a 3 or 5 wood based on reviews and how well I feel like I'm hitting the driver.

You should give one a try. I have the driver and 3 wood and while I like both, I like the fairway wood more.
 
Thinking I want to try the red tie 6Q3 shafts in my driver and 3 wood Jman what differences do you see compared to the stock shaft? Is it worth the money for some one like me that still has a higher handicap? Anyone who has tried this please chime in

It's going to vary swing to swing, but honestly the stock setup is really really solid and shouldn't be overlooked.
 
The + stepped up to the plate when big brother physically broke down within the adapter epoxy. So much joy to see the flight off the tee. Didn't get to use it off the deck today.
 
I can't wait to get intimate with these, it will be my first 5 wood.

Loved it when I got the three wood. Felt better than using the Baffler XL sticks. So much so that I replaced all my Bafflers with BiO cells.
 
Question for you guys. Through a bunch of lessons I've knocked about 10 strokes off my game. I've replaced my xhot driver and 3 wood for the bio cell. I'm loving both of my new clubs. Next come the irons. Here's the question. I've never had a 5 wood. The bio cell 5-7 feels great at the sim in the golf store. It would replace my 3 hybrid. I'm concerned the 5 wood won't be as easy to hit off the deck as a 3 hybrid. As I'm improving, I want to know your guys thoughts. Do you guys playing the bio cell 5 wood prefer it to a 3 hybrid? I'm starting to break 90 and I'm hoping the 5 wood would help me to improve further. I'm also concerned about hitting a fairway wood from the rough.

Tough question as everyone is different. I have both in the bag as I use them for different shots. I find the 5 wood to be very easy to hit off the deck and I can't say that about a lot of fairway woods. I use it off the tee and in the fairway. The hybrid is a little more versatile and sees action from almost any lie. My dispersion is better with the hybrid so I use it when I don't have as much room to work with.

I hit my 3 wood better off the deck than my hybrids lol. Even hit it out of light rough today. 5 wood should be even easier to hit so I will be getting one. I say go for it if you still have a club for thicker rough.
 
Got to use my new Bio Cell 3/4 this weekend and it will not be leaving the bag anytime soon. Absolutely loved the ball flight I was seeing with the club and distance was outstanding.

Need to re-grip and throw a mid size grip on, but really happy with what I saw this weekend.

Nice Amsmith, its the straightest 3 wood I have hit. Also Rusty Casino, a 5 wood comes in handy when your not swinging the 3 wood well or if your swing is rusty at the start of the season, better off the turf when its wet out.
 
I finally got my hands on the Bio Cell + 3 and 5 wood for a few days and it's the best 3 wood I've gamed, the launch was piercing and the ball just seemed like it wanted to keep going lol. It's the first time hitting a 5 wood and I can honestly say that I finally found something that can take out the 2 iron I've been carrying for years, I truly believe Cobra has hit a home run with the entire Bio Cell line, it will take something pretty special to get these out of my bag, maybe a future version? lol...
 
Watching you hit the driver and fairways was nothing short of fun my friend.
 
So after having the 3 and 5 regular bio in my hands this weekend I will say that omg these things are just amazing. I truly couldnt believe how easy they are to hit. I am partial to thr 5 wood as even on a bad swing that thkng would just fly! Truly great technology.
 
I'd be excited to have my 5w back if Erik hadn't sent it to Florida in the tour van....

WOW what a beast I may leave the bio cell+ driver in the bag after a day on the range when you find the sweet spot with this thing it's BAZINNNNNG hit a few out to 250 granted only a few but wow what a awesome 3 wood.....
 
I'm still a huge fan on the fairway too.

Just trying to hash out if the 5w goes back in or I stay hybo in that 19/20 slot.
