Figured we needed a thread to discuss the various simulator software that people are using.
I think I have tried most.

E6 Connect: Good Course Graphics. Decently realistic gameplay. Good ball flight.
TGC19: Huge Course Library. Create Your own Courses. To me the game play holds it back a bit. $50 Xbox game, that happens to work with Launch Monitors. But the course library is great.
GSPro: I like it. Probably spent the least amount of time with it. Good graphics. Good game play. Lawsuit issues need to go away.
Foresight: Probably spent the most time with it. Graphics are good, not great. Ball flight is funky, but game play is solid. Purchasing courses is a hassle.

I can certainly add a ton more depth to the above as people have questions, if there are questions.

Great idea, and to include GSPro with their ongoing struggles with lawsuits.

Since I only have used GSPro, my reviews will be with it. First off, I have the Skytrak OP, and have to use the API interface to get GSPro to work with it. Not a big deal, but occasionally after a Win11 update, I need to reload some things to get it to work. Now on to the graphics, stellar. I only have a 1080P projector, but it looks great. GSPro has the putting circle standard, has a great driving range, and up until recently, has really awesome courses (had to remove all TPC courses which sucks). Note, my driver does not work well with my Skytrak OP, so all driver distances are with a 5H.
Here are some views:

I have both e6 and GS Pro for my Uneekor eyexo 2 which i just got up and running in the last couple of weeks. I have used e6 quite a bit in the past and enjoy it but if i were to choose right now i think i would lean to GS Pro. I only added GS Pro to be able to play online with my brother and kind of wish I just went with that option first. However the games e6 has are great for younger kids getting into golf, if GS Pro has them i haven't found them yet. Hopefully the law suits don't amount to anything long term and their yearly subscription plans don't change too much. TGC2019 has been my least favorite after using both other options. After my year is up with e6 and if everything is status quo with GS Pro i will most likely just go with the latter as it is cheaper and just as good in my opinion. However that rumored update for e6 looks unreal and that may sway me

I desperately want time with E6 and GSPro

Have you tried Clarksons Farm Animal Driving Range?
Or Hershey Parkview (has a rollercoaster and a train).
On Golfboy patreon page, he has a dinosaur course.

I checked last night and online mode is only available on E6 with a full subscription. So I can't test it with you yet. Will probably upgrade the package we were graciously given by THP and GolfTec/SkyTrak. Not really considering TGC anymore, but GSPro is still a ponder when things clear up.

For $250 GS Pro is still fairly low risk even if things go side ways with the lawsuit. I really like, the online play was way better than i expected but i also had no clue what to expect!

This is a thread I have been interested about for some time now.

I have played exclusively with TGC so I am very familiar with that system. I do like the fact that almost every course in the world is available. If you don't see your course available, you can talk to someone to have it created at a cost.

The gameplay is fine, but I do feel a bit unrealistic and more like playing an Xbox round of golf. I don't think the physics is perfect but good enough.

I think the largest problem I have with TGC is the setup was created as a game and not for true simulation golf. The fact that the software is never going to be updated makes it very limited in long-term use as the other software companies continue to update and become much more user friendly, better physics, and graphically better

As you all probably know, GSPro does not currently work with the Skytrak+. Just an FYI.

Watching closely as I decide on the sim to get

I’ve only ever used GSPro and have no complaints, but nothing to compare it to.

I've used both e6 on iPad and GSPro with Skytrak OG. Both got the job done but GSPro is great with the number of courses available.

With that said, I may go back to using e6 on iPad when it's time to renew with the new PIP subscription that includes 15 courses on e6. I don't have a dedicated space, use the garage with fiber built and spornia net. If I had a dedicated gaming PC, I would definitely go GSPro but my windows setup is a bit unorthodox. I reuse a home server in a different room that runs Unraid, so I run windows in a VM with dedicated GPU. Since the PC is in another room, I connect to it from the garage via Moonlight on an iPad and then Airplay the iPad screen to an Apple TV connected to a projector. With all that said, with the new PIP that includes e6, I may just simplify things and run e6 on the iPad. I don't do much online play with others regardless so should be good enough for me.

After using both e6 and GS Pro fir a couple of weeks now I can safely say that I enjoy gs pro quite a bit more. Such great software

I've used Foresight, E6, and GS Pro on a LM, played TGC on an Xbox so won't comment on that one.

Foresight: graphics are ok, least favorite of the 3 I've played. Gameplay is good. Challenges are fun, inside 6, monthly competitions, etc. Purchasing courses held me back from any more than the 10 they give you initially.

E6: graphics are good, mostly realistic gameplay (green speed needs adjusted from their default as I feel it's too slow or soft on any approach). 15 courses with Skytrak package is nice. Both iPad and PC versions which is a plus for anyone not with a gaming PC. However iPad version is noticeably limited on graphics processing power (background and foliage not on iPad version, but on PC version). I've had a few interesting ball flights (misreads)...which I'll mention in the E6 thread

GS Pro: if this lawsuit goes away...man oh man this one has some insane graphics, but you better have a pretty powerful gaming PC to get all the details. Gameplay is good. Extra purchase but online golf tour tied to GS Pro seems nice for all who want to enter. Course library is open to anyone who wants to design a course so it's always expanding.

Good news for some. The Skytrak+ Open API to GSPro is working and in Beta. Free to try (not Skytrak sanctioned FYI). See Discord StVision.

This will be great news to many. The one thing kinda holding some back from purchasing.

However, sure looking forward to the lawsuit eventually getting settled and GSPro available as a supported software. From what I have seen GSPro is very good

For all the GS Pro users what has been your favourite course to play?

I have used GSPro and E6. I liked both but since I have switched to PC for display have only been on GSPro. Lots of good courses and development.

I’ve been searching for what software to use for a while now. Finally I’ll have some answers

Right now borrowing a Mevo from a friend but I’m looking for that plays courses. Thinking I’m gonna end up buying a Skytrack or the Mevo+. It’s mostly the software where I can’t make up my mind

Get the SkyTrak ST+, with what you can do right now and what's coming down the road, you'll get far more value with it than probably anything else out there right now.

Appreciate the info. Definitely gonna look more into it

Appreciate the info, gonna look into it some more. SkyTrak is definitely more convenient for the space that I have.
