Go4it
No layin' up!
I have been reading equipment reviews in the forums for a couple of years and it has become my go-to source.
My bag is full of clubs that have been recommended by the folks in the forums. From the Apex CF-16 irons to the Scotty Putter.
I had to stop playing basketball about 4.5 years ago, so I took up golf. As a 45 year old at the time, golf was a difficult game to learn.
I joined a club and began hitting thousands of balls.
My philosophy was to NOT take any lessons and figure it out on my own. I wanted to be able to fix my issues without having to consult an expert.
So far so good...my index has continued to trend lower.
I have said that if I plateau, I'll seek help...
I will play in any weather...we play here in Maryland, as long a there is no snow on the course.
My only regret is that I didn't take up the game as a kid, ...I think it would be have been much easier to learn.
Thanks to everyone who has posted equipment information, since I have gained from you sharing your experience.
