CC struggling with his command bad then the yanks get a lucky bounce on a wild pitch and get the out at home. Not sure if he was actually out seeing as his feet were already across the plate then gets tagged on the back. O well. Up 3-0!

Edit:Just kidding he was out left leg went over the plate instead of touching it.

Had to come back home real fast and thought Id share this before I left. My buddy is at the game and told me to check out facebook for some pictures he just posted on there

Here is one about 20-30 minutes before game time.

Well crap. 5-4 now, a rod with a big base hit that scores 2. Still no outs for Yankees top of 8 runners on first and second. Rangers have dominated the first 7 innings and Yankees get back in it, in the 8th.

Edit: make it 5-5 now. Dammit!

Nolan Ryan does not look happy.

Who the hell is Greg Golson?

Dammit, Yankees have 1 good inning out of the whole game and they freaking win. Bastards.

Is it me or do the Yankees always seem to pull out those late inning wins during the post season? CC struggled in inning 1, gave up a couple of more in the 4th. Great job out of the Yankee bullpen. Can't wait for tomorrow's game.

I'm not sick of the Conan comercials yet, but I am really tired of hearing Kid Rock

Its funny, I wanted to kill George Lopez last year. This year I find myself still laughing at the Conan commercials.

Did I miss the first three games or somethin? Phils are up 3-0? Wth! lol

I feel like I made the Rangers lose last night. We were out a Casino and I kept making my way to the tv's showing the game. Rangers were winning. I get home turn it on and that inning happened. Rangers lose.

I have a question to all you baseball afficionados as I follow the sport but I'm no expert, especially in the use of bullpens and such. Shouldn't the Rangers manager have used the closer when it was 5-2 with guys on 1st and 3rd....or atleast when the bases were loaded?

Maybe he did I don't even know who the Rangers closer is to be honest.

Typically the closer only throws one inning, sometimes 2. I forget what inning that was but I think was too early in the game.

It was the 8th and there wasn't any outs. It would have been a 6 out save and not many if any closers do that except for Mo. If feliz (rangers closer) would have pitched in the 8th and 9th he would not have been able to pitch today if they needed him. I think Ron did mess up when he put a pitcher in that hasn't pitched all post season and then he gives up big hit. Oliver walked back to back guys and that really screwed them. the yankees made it 6-5 before there was even an out in the 8th if I remember right. They should have brought fransico in the 8th but he decided to use 5 pitchers.

They are a veteran team that understands just cause they are down a couple runs in the beginning of the game the game is not over.

Depends on the closer. The Yankees will do that with Rivera in the postseason because he has done it a lot. I think I heard Washington say that their closer has never had a 4 or 5 out save before.

He has pitched in 3 games trying to get 4 outs this year nothing longer than that though (not sure if he got all 3 4 out saves I know he got 1 for sure though) its also only his 1st full year, Most people dont know that he is still classified as a rookie. He only played in 20 games last year, Wasn't even going to be the closer this year until Francisco started doing terrible at the first of the year, then he won the job and now holds the record for the most saves by a rookie closer. (40)

I figured as much but my contest would be this. You are up 5-2 with guys on 1st and 3rd...the Yankees are juiced and you can feel the momentum swinging bad. Woudln't it be smart to put the closer in to stop the bleeding and get through the inning with no more or minimal damage, than start over fresh the next inning with say your normal setup guy or someone else?

I really don't know thats why I ask these questions. I know the year the BoSox won the WS they did this alot with Papelbon bringing him in in the 7th or 8th then letting someone else finish the game? Maybe I am mistaken.
