Pictures of your back swing

I really like the progress displayed between this pic and the smaller pic shown in your profile. What scares me most about the shot your son took is just how in play the cars looks to be for even a small slice.

The road definitely creeps in your head on this hole and it did on this shot, I pulled it left into the trees. My swing is coming along nicely though and I'm hitting a lot of draws now instead of the big push/slice. Hope you've been doing well Daddio!

This is my son, 9 years apart. 3 and 12.

Love that El Nino

good looking pics there. weight looks a little on the toes, is that normal for you? alignment doesn't look bad if you're trying to work that draw off the bunker.

This was after some work early last season. Weather looks such that I'll be able to get some new ones (this season) next week I hope (along with some video too)

Yeah, I have always seemed to fight my weight on my toes at impact. I think I tilt up slightly, as I don't take much of a divot. I'm made for Texas!

I typically play a control fade on my shots, but on that particular shot, the hole sets up for a draw so I went with that. Thanks for the response!

i know you and i have talked a bit about stack and tilt. is that something you have worked on in the past? if so, are you still working on it?

No, my swing morphed away from it. In stack and tilt, the left knee doesn't come inward but rather bends straight forward. I'd also be directly over my left foot. I have more of a weight shift to the right. It may look like all the weight is on my left leg but I'm about 80% on my right leg at the top. SnT shifts about 60% although in their literature they say they don't shift.

yes I'm aware of how stack and tilt works having spent about 18 months with it. ultimately I still think it's a great swing with a its roots in solid fundamentals of what makes a good golf swing. my body just couldn't do what it demanded. I see what looks to me to be the remnants of it in your swing which is all I was asking.

The ironic thing about my swing is that it has always had a bit of the SnT stuff. I had a horrible problem with hooking with it. I still use it for my short game.

it wreaked havoc on my left hip. I just couldn't get it over my left foot without feeling like it was shredding. also never got the driver to work. I still think watching mike or grant hit irons is about the sexiest thing in golf. I could watch it all day.

Same old swing, new photo

Nice pic! I'm pretty amazed at how you get such a shut face with a flat left wrist. I'm no expert, obviously, so don't think I am criticizing, or trying to get you to change anything. I just find it interesting to note how different swings can find success as you obviously have have based on what I have seen/read on here.

I imagine it comes from a very strong grip.

I think my grip is pretty neutral, maybe a touch strong. I just roll the face shut during the backswing like a dumby.

Doesn't make you a dummy, seems like it works well for you.

Horizontal stripes were an awful idea.

A little longer than I want to be. Try to be more compact typically.
