Steven Spielberg Movies Ranked from Worst to Best

When I saw Hook in last, I knew the list was bogus. I don't agree with Jaws at first either. It might be top 5 but not number 1. Jurassic Park was absolutely incredible considering the technology they had. I know the same can be said for Jaws but Jurassic Park is crazy good IMO. I still watch it and can't believe how real most of the stuff looks.

Lost World should have been dead last.

Oh and temple of doom was by far the worst Indiana jones movie.

I don't even consider that garbage he made recently part of the trilogy.

List is crap, and as others have said I knew it from the minute it started with Hook.

Ugh, did you forget about Crystal Skull?

As stated I don't even consider that part of the trilogy it was a money grab and an absolute joke.

I don't fault Spielberg for that, it was a Lucas who wrote that garbage and Spielberg was just being a bro by directing it.

I would say at #8 Minority Report is ranked too high as well.

AI is ranked WAY too high on that list compared to some others.

My same initial thought...should be no higher than 10 or so. I would also flop Schindler and ET...but I hate that brown alien.

That list is hard to read! LOL

I forgot he made some clunkers

Even his bad movies are pretty good. The issue is he has directed some of the best films of all time so the standards he is held to are higher.

Agreed - once you set the bar high it's tough to top yourself.

Having hook as the last is just Bull that was one of his top 10 easily!

Cameron is the same way. As awesome as Terminator 1 and 2 and the Abyss was we get the formulaic crapfest of Avatar.

Hook is still way too low, and catch me if you can is still way too high

Let's not get nuts here. It was a good movie but not even close to top 10. Take the nostalgia factor out.

Catch me if you Can is a pretty perfect caper movie. Hook was great but it doesn't hold up as well as you might believe.

Hold up? To what?

I think the movie has a nostalgia factor for those of us who saw it when we were younger. I don't think it carries over if you were to watch it again today. Plus, compared to the other movies it is definitely more family friendly so it has a more universal appeal that doesn't necessarily translate to quality of the film.

I'm not cultures enough, I think universal appeal means it is a good movie

Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time, does that make it the best movie of all time?

As long as we don't start using the word film in here.

That's where I draw the line.

Uhhh, Avatar was awesome ... especially if you watched it in IMAX.

I enjoyed Avatar when it was called Dances with Wolves. I saw it in IMAX, but the exact storyline was a head scratcher.
