LIVE UPDATE THREAD The 2020 Morgan Cup Sponsored by Cobra Golf

Finally caught up on reading everything over the weekend... Those who know why I couldn't make it, turns out I made the right decision months ago sadly. This past Friday the 9th we had our first court date trying to get my wife and stepson to move to Chicago. Months ago I thought I was being more precautious than anything but its crazy court actually got scheduled the day/week of Morgan Cup. On top of that my brother and sister in law moved in with me coming back home from Colorado while waiting for their house to be finished early November. She was 6 months pregnant at the time and I sure as heck didnt wanna take any chance with Covid around them. The original expectancy date was October 17th, 1 week after MC, and turns out she was a week early and they had the baby Oct 10th!! So I got great news 2 days in a row

But mainly im here bc I wanted to say Congrats to Team Paradise and a huge thank you to @JB @GolferGal @LittleRat and @Master Yagley . While I didnt get to participate fully in the actual Morgan Cup, I still wanted to say thank you for for the opportunity and to play great clubs I otherwise honestly would not have considered. All year ive said the Xtreme driver has been the most consistent ive ever played and its refreshing to know I haven't had to even consider looking for another one

I've followed @OITW 's style and now have pretty much my whole golf wardrobe as Puma. As a huge Adidas fan ive never owned Puma clothes or shoes before. Man was I missing out!! I now have 5 pairs of ProAdapt's and 3 PwrAdapt. Also the cloudspun pullovers are so damn comfy this time of year

@KY Golfer @jdtox @oumagic @vdubtx @ToddJ027b @MarMill8412 @Duffer Waldorf way to go guys!

The pizza party...

Vegas covid rules made it was difficult to find a place to have dinner for a group our size so there were no designated dinner plans for the team. Myself and @OITW decided we should do a bunch of pizza and just hang out somewhere as group. What a success that was! That room was full of bourbon (some good, some bad and some peanut butter whisky) beers, pizza and nonstop laughter. @KY Golfer is hilarious person. Getting to chat with everyone and hang out like is what makes an event like this special. Some of my most memorable conversations come in settings like that where we are off the golf course. It turned out to be a late night for some more than others but man what a blast!

Fast forward to Sunday...
I awoke at 6am  that was the first time I had slept past 3:30 the entire trip and I'll be honest I didn't feel amazing and rested haha. It was a fine line I had to choose if I would eat or drink anything but water. As it turns out what I missed most was my caffeine. Why is it so hard to find coffee at a hotel in Vegas? It was singles day and I would play my fellow captain @OITW. Please bear with the book I am about to write because I have to recap these holes as I remember them. Someday I know I'll forget and this well help me relive this day.

It's been awhile since I had to give up strokes and watching Alex play earlier in the week I knew I would be in for a battle. We tee'd off first and I had a good drive. I then proceeded to chunk my wedge, chip up decently and hit quite possibly the worst putt of the weekend all on a live stream :LOL:. Alex did the same but the difference was he made his 10' putt for par (which would be a recurring theme our entire match) and he immediately went 1up. The next hole was the daunting par 3. Alex stuck his to 20' and I flew all the way to the back of the green to about 70'. He made an easy 2 putt par, I hit a good first putt and missed the 8' par now and went 2 down quickly. Hole 3, everyone else hit less than driver, I thought that was odd because I hit driver all weekend and so I did again. Turns out this would be the first of many bad breaks of the day for me. This is where my tee shot ended up.
IMG_8288.jpg

I took my drop and hit a really nice 9 iron onto the green and two putted for bogey, Alex also made bogey but had a pop and guess what now I'm 3 down. Then Hole 4I hit a good drive just out to the right and I see this when we pull up. I just can't buy a break
IMG_8289.jpg

That was the forward facing lip so I had to try and chip out sideways with no advancement. I was unsuccessful at that also, guess what came next...4 down. I couldn't believe what just happened. Hole 5 was a par 5, I gathered myself together and hit a great drive right down the middle just as I had the day before. The day before I hit a 3w from that spot and flew right into the bunker protecting the green. I didn't want to that again so I played smart and smashed a 2h right up the middle leaving me roughly 30yds from the green with a nice angle to the pin. Alex had a little trouble if I recall on this hole but nothing too bad so I needed to get up and make a birdie or par at the worst. I proceeded to chunk my wedged short and it rolled back down off the false front. Then...I did it again  and whatever chance I had to win the hole evaporated right before my eyes. This was a bit disheartening to me as my short game is usually a strong suit and something I take pride in but today I just didn't have it. I'm 5 down now I think and all I could think was OMG I'm getting run over and I don't want to be remembered for that.

About this time is when @ToddJ027b and I had some discussions and tried to regroup. I could feel that maybe my bad juju in a few holes was affecting him which I could not allow to happen. We got some music going and that seemed to help both of us which I was glad to see, especially for him. I'm so glad I got to share that round with Todd even because it was fun watching him hit that yellow ball of his. Such a great person and you could see he wanted to compete and do well just as I did, he never let me get too far down. We had some good talks about club selection and strategy as well as encouraging each other. He had his own match with @baylrballa which was a bit up and down as well. You could tell momentum could swing at any moment because Cody can play. Cody was a bit quiet that day as he and I seemed to be playing similarly especially on the greens haha so we didn't get a chance to talk a whole lot during the match but having talked before he's yet another guy I would gladly share a round with anytime and anywhere.

Back to the action...I managed to halve a few holes till we got to 9 which I think I won to get it to 4. Then I took 10 to get it to 3, or maybe it was 10 and 11? Anyways we arrive at hole 12 and I'm now 3 down. Hole 12 is which is a tough looking slightly uphill par 3 with a very wide green. I had the box and hit a really good 9iron up there probably to about 15'. Alex hit the green as well but he was way over to the right in China on the wrong side and the wrong level. I'm thinking I'm going to win this hole and take it to 2 down at this point. He hit his birdie putt about as good as anyone could, got it down to the right level and had about 10' left. So now Its my turn, all I needed to do was make an easy 2 putt and put the pressure on him and of course I blew it 4 feet by:rolleyes:. Alex then drains his 10' putt for an all world par  I couldn't believe my eyes. I missed the comebacker of course and instead of taking it to 2 down or even staying at 3 I'm back to 4 down and it was basically over, I lost all my momentum.

We pushed 13 I think and I hit a good tee shot on 14. I had a good number in and hit a shot that was directly at the stick thinking ok we got a chance here but the wind had kicked up a bit. When we walked up and find my ball at the bottom of the canyon I was extremely disappointed with myself because I knew it was over. To his credit Alex played very well and never let his foot off the gas. His putter is a deadly weapon, I think he only missed 1 putt that he needed the entire 13 holes he had to putt. Now it was up to my team to bring home the cup.

Coming up next...the finish...

@ToddJ027b I'm happy that @jdtox forced me into switching the pairings on Sunday and getting to enjoy the day with you (was still drunk for the first 8 holes, but you know still fun 🤪 I had so much fun watching you stripe iron after iron on Sunday - I mean I didn't and I'm sure my cartner didn't either LOL, but your iron play was incredible, also I got a kick watching you spin your shots back for most of the day, and then on 9 when you told me you play the XV because it's the perfect spin for you, had me 🤯 I want to know how much you rip the really spinny balls back. Your Sandy on 7 was freaking incredible. But I think the coolest thing and JB mentioned it before was seeing how blown away you were at the entire experience. Seeing you smile as big as you and just continually be amazed at the entire weekend. Glad you made it back safe (5 hours driving is no joke) and hopefully I can tee it up with you in Utah sometime, get Maxy and my guy @Tenputt in there and make it a party!

GET OUT HERE NOW! This must happen!

Team Paradise:

Congrats on the W boys, enjoy it, very well deserved, I know next year's Hackers will be champing at the bit to take it back.

@vdubtx we didn't get to tee it up on the course or spend too much time off it during the weekend, it was a whirlwind, but every time I saw you, you had a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye and it was glorious to see how much fun you were having. Glad to have met you and we'll definitely have to get a round in sometime if I make it to TX. You're also a wicked good dude for taking care of your aunt around the house when you come to Vegas.

@MarMill8412 was a fun time facing off with you and Jos in Shamble on Saturday, also great that THP finally brought another Asian to an experience. Even crazier that we were all in the same 4some for a round, what are the odds  (or @jdtox just got confused again :D)? You had us all rolling laughing, you definitely brought the laughs and an outgoing personality to a quieter paradise team. Your game is solid and consistent and you were definitely tough to play against, we won't tell Jos, but pretty sure you carried him for a few holes. Looking forward to getting to tee it up with you again - signed, sincerely, The Faster Asian

@Duffer Waldorf aka Duffer Stuffer, you were the loudest and most obnoxious member of team paradise, always cutting people off, dominating the conversation and as matter of fact being the loudest guy on the patio and with this group, that is a pretty tall task to accomplish!:LOL::LOL: Actually no, Duffer Stuff (I'm going to call you this forever) was quiet humble and damned if he wasn't the most consistent golfer I shared the course with the entire weekend, through 9 holes of Alt Shot, I think he had half of a bad shot (not looking at you @KY Golfer ) Super consistent and golfed his ball - he said his best shot was from the rocks on 4 - I think his best shot was a 70 yard sidehill lie with a wedge on 6 that he "Stuffed" in there to put the pressure on us. Absolute pleasure talking to you and getting to know you over the course of the weekend (when I could get a word in ;) ) Really glad your family was safe and avoided the hurricane and you were able to get out as well. Another one that I would tee it up any time with.

@oumagic we didn't get to tee it up this weekend, which was a bummer, since from the buildup, every post of mine was an affront to you and team paradise and I'm assuming you stopped counting because you ran out of bulletin board space. Glad you were able to recover and from your injury, seeing you applying the theragun post shot during singles showed the resolve and character you had to continue playing regardless of the pain. I'm hoping with your tournament winnings you can afford a new cell phone and thus improve your live updating  - Funny story for those of you who weren't there, after a late return from the Casino, myself and @KY Golfer stumbled upon two security guards going to their (KY & OU) room, because the door was propped open, we tried to get them to go in and mess with you and they said they would have any other year but this year... so missed opportunity and another thing to add to your board ha! Hopefully I can get down to AZ and tee it up with you guys in one of your get togethers, I won't play you for money though as my guy @phoffer said you're a sandbagger 🎤

@KY Golfer you had the entire group well lubricated for dinner and beyond, Saturday and as you know well into Sunday AM. Was fantastic hanging out with you at the Casino, thanks for having my back and assisting me with basic addition during Blackjack, I made a good chunk of change back that I lost during craps earlier and on Friday lol. It would have been amazing if those security guys had done us a solid on @oumagic ha! Getting to face off with you and Duffer Stuffer during Alt Shot on Saturday was fun, if you like getting your ass whooped HAHAHA, your swing is fantastic and tempo perfect, tee to green you were lights out, definitely need to tee it up with you in KY or the Natti in the future. Also give your wife a hug and kiss from all of us for being the Saint that she is for "forcing" you to come because it definitely wouldn't have been the same if you had to back out.

@LittleRat **** YOU, 14-1 in #TheMorganCup "it's FINE" this freaking guys is the best from his sense of humor, quick wit (half of the fun of this experience is listening to him and @JB verbally eviscerate each other) Him and I have a history, as you know if you have watched the live stream, prior to 2020 he had Beaten Off In The Woods once, but lucky for him, and really showing how 2020 can go **** itself for me, he got to Beat Off In The Woods not even twice in the year, but twice in the DAMN weekend!!! Probably why he was so chipper on Sunday after doing it once Friday and Saturday. Seriously though, the ultimate competitor is also the ultimate human, such a great guy, as most of the guys in the experience this year on either team will attest, he'll take your lunch money, but he'll also take the time to help guys either with their swing or dialing in there equipment, he did that for me all the way back in 2016 and he does it to this day( i guess if he's taking your lunch money you're really paying for the lessons/fittings :LOL::LOL:) Definitely look forward to teeing it up and trash talking him in the future.

Last but definitely not least, El Capitan de paraiso @jdtox he mentioned it in his recap, but when Jetblue screwed my flights and I was coming in early he did the only thing a friend would do and changed his and came in early too. We had a blast playing Reflection Bay which was a great way to kickoff his birthday weekend (Spoiler Alert, you all know how Sunday ended so I don't feel bad laying it down on him for his birthday, what are friends for:LOL::ROFLMAO:) What all of his guys have said and a few of the Hackers have said is 100% true of him, me coming into the Captain's role late in the year, he definitely was a great resource when I had a question or anything like that and I appreciate the many questions that he answered. J definitely embodies what it is to be a THPer, but more importantly is a fantastic person and I'm glad that I can call him a friend. Also how about that ham and egging the live stream!? Regular Laurel and Hardy/Abbot and Costello duo right there :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Congrats to you my friend, if I lost the cup, it couldn't have gone back to a better guy, enjoy the ride next year!
Alex, thanks for the kind words. 👊 Meeting the legend of OITW was just awesome. What an incredible person you are, the knowledge you have of golf and Cobra/Puma is just mind blowing. Wish I could have made the early practice rounds on Thursday with you all. Listening to the all of the stories at Pizza and Bourbon was just amazing. Had such a great time and my sides literally hurt from all of the laughing that night.

If you find yourself in TX, we will need to be sure we tee it up. Really look forward to that in the future.

Hey THP,

Wanted to wait till I’d finished catching up on reading all of the post and processing the unbelievable weekend. Absolutely incredible to get to relive the amazing weekend by reviewing it here, the level of interaction and engagement from all of you at home is truly humbling and awe inspiring. More than anything else having you all following along and pulling for us made us feel like tour pros!

Of course we owe immense gratitude to everyone involved who help pulled this together JB, Morgan, Jose, Yags, Rachel, Alex, Jeremy and everyone else. But really again thanks to all of you who got so interested in a guys weekend golf trip!

And finally, and I think most importantly, Big Thanks to @JB and @GolferGal for creating this place. JB gave a small explanation about how the idea of experiences was really driven as a means to get people to “be humane” to each other online. And this event is the PERFECT embodiment of that objective. Getting to meet each competitor and enjoy them as individuals removes the anonymity of username and reminds us to be kind and genuine to people in person and online! This is such a pervasive challenge in our current and future society and these events are a very inventive and effective method to promote a fun, kind, and friendly online community! So thank you very much and everyone else involved for creating this place for all of us to enjoy together. [*Step off soapbox]

On to the weekend and the golf. Getting to re-read and watch all of the content made me feel a bit better about my 0.5 point performance. While I certainly struggled with my game some, all of my opponents really showed up and played great. After each day I felt exhausted as I was significantly down in all of my matches, sometime because I decided to use Mr. Hosel rather than the club face, but more often it was because my alternate shot opponents were -2 through 9 holes. (That is one hell of an accomplishment for alternate shot @KY Golfer / @Duffer Waldorf ). And on Sunday I ran into the freight train that is @LittleRat I had really wanted to give him a better match but just couldn’t get the flat stick to corporate. As has been said here a million times his short game is truly something to marvel at. I always rather get beat than beat myself and in retrospect I feel like that’s what happen this weekend. Big congratulations to team paradise for the victory, and thanks for being awesome guys to spend the weekend with!

As for my favorite shots of the weekend I have 3 tied. The 1st is the now famous @H8tobogie 18th approach to halve the match after our down 4 deficit. The second is after I hit a 36 yard “layout” out of the thick rough while we were down 3 in our alt shot match. To have @OITW step up and hit a great approach to a tucked pin giving me a 4’ putt to win the hole. Nothing quite like having your teammate pick you up like that after a bad shot, that’s what makes team golf so damn fun! And the 3rd shot I didn’t get to see until I watched the live stream of the #1 during the alt shot. Watching @Master Yagley talk @maxw72 through the brutal downhill-lie thick rough pitch to then see max stuff it to 3’ was freaking incredible. Great shot by Max and great partnering by Yags.

Aside from the golf some the highlights were getting to hang out with @baylrballa and @e1iterate who are both incredibly funny and genuine guys. And Yags indulging my nerdy engineering side while I picked his brains about club engineering! And getting to be a small part of watching @Parrot comeback on sunday was so much fun.

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, and I so glad this event was able to happen and will be coming back in the future. THP is a great place, and I’m so glad I finally jumped from lurking around to actually getting involved! I can’t over state how fun it was to meet and spend time with both teams, and I can’t wait to meet up for a reunion tour!

You are an awesome guy @Jmk202 Keep working and doing your thing man.

As for that alt shot....I'm working on getting that on continual loop as my screensaver. It's going down as one of my all time greatest shots.

One more thing, if you ever
but more often it was because my alternate shot opponents were -2 through 9 holes. (That is one hell of an accomplishment for alternate shot @oumagic @Duffer Waldorf ).
Great post and it was real good to meet you, jmk. Just to clarify, that alt shot pairing was @KY Golfer and @Duffer Waldorf that was -2. I was with @vdubtx and we didn’t sniff a birdie against yags and max

lol right, you were just there for my sunday beat down. I'll correct the post. :ROFLMAO:

Glad to bring some more Asian flare! It was a blast.

Alt shot on Saturday afternoon was @oumagic and I going up against @Master Yagley and @maxw72. What a treat that was. Yags is such a cool dude and has an amazing demeanor, very approachable. @maxw72 is a great guy and is about as quiet as I am. I know he was taking in the experience just like I was. Just wide eyed with a big smile. Once we were up at the tee box, I am not sure I could have been more nervous than in the morning round which was live streamed. But, those nerves were certainly still there. With Max and I having similar handicaps, I really felt for him with the tee shot, but he more than redeemed himself with the chip heard round THP!! That shot was awesome and was so cool to see in person after Yags was giving him instruction leading up to taking it. Felt really happy that he made the shot he did as I could only imagine what he was feeling.

2nd hole was another amazing one with @Master Yagley throwing a dart on the green with his shot. 🔥🔥 Funny thing about this shot is that he didn't like it at all off the tee as he immediately was apologizing for it. :ROFLMAO: Wind got ahold of it and took it like a homing beacon towards the cup, it was simply a fantastic shot. Hackers was up 2 after 2nd hole.

The rest of the holes were just a blur, @oumagic and I tried to mount a come back and got it to within one by the 7th hole after dropping to -3 at one point.

@maxw72 hits an amazing 3 wood. As he continues to improve, anyone will have a hard time beating him.
@Master Yagley has an amazing game, super accurate and as nice as can be.

I took my drop and hit a really nice 9 iron onto the green and two putted for bogey, Alex also made bogey but had a pop and guess what now I'm 3 down. Then Hole 4I hit a good drive just out to the right and I see this when we pull up. I just can't buy a break
View attachment 8969121

❤️❤️❤️ you bro, I have more commentary on this coming with additional thoughts

but to summarize me going into Sunday in the gifs of @JDax and @e1iterate

Alex, thanks for the kind words. 👊 Meeting the legend of OITW was just awesome. What an incredible person you are, the knowledge you have of golf and Cobra/Puma is just mind blowing. Wish I could have made the early practice rounds on Thursday with you all. Listening to the all of the stories at Pizza and Bourbon was just amazing. Had such a great time and my sides literally hurt from all of the laughing that night.

If you find yourself in TX, we will need to be sure we tee it up. Really look forward to that in the future.

"Meeting the legend of OITW!".

@vdubtx It was an absolute pleasure playing with you and @oumagic. I truly appreciated your patience and kindness throughout the entire event! I hope I get to come down to Texas and play a round with you. On Saturday I requested a singles match against you as I had met you and knew that you would be an opponent that I at least had a chance at beating. As our round went on and we battled, I found myself glad that I was paired with you in Singles not due to the similar handicap but instead because you are a great guy and a great golfer.

That is something that I think THP doesn't realize, but I believe we as a MC participants have done a great job at relating. Up to the event I thought it was going to be competitive and there was going to be some chirping and talk of "all I want to do is beat Team Paradise/Hackers" but as I think back, I don't know if there was anyone that came out, in all seriousness and uttered that phrase. Everyone was there to just play golf and enjoy the event!

For any of my fellow high handicaps, don't be afraid to enter an event because of your high handicap. Enter all the events because as @JB puts in I believe all event postings "Skill level does not matter." On top of that, the THP community and participants are so awesome that handicap doesn't matter to them, they just want to get to know you as a person! Courage and Sweat my fellow high handicaps!

Good afternoon depending on where you are at right now.

Want to send some shout outs to some of the participants of this experience.

@jdtox - Really enjoyed our 9 hole match together this weekend. Was the first time we had gotten to tee it up together. Enjoyed our chats about life over the weekend and getting to hang for a few post event. You were a great captain for Team Paradise and congratulations, well earned. I hope we get to do it again one day!

@MarMill8412 - 27 holes this past weekend together?!?! Awesome time man! It never hit me I played with 3 Asian guys during Shamble till you brought it up :ROFLMAO::LOL:. Too funny that you guys noticed it. Anyway, you putted like a machine and your iron and wedge game was super solid. You hit it low and far :sneaky:! You kept it light all weekend and I appreciate you sharing about your kids too! Hope to tee it up again one day!

@Duffer Waldorf - Really enjoyed getting to tee it up on singles day watching you battle Yags! I really hope you enjoyed your Bojangles in Charlotte lol. You've got a smooth swing and played solid all weekend. Really enjoyed meeting you! Hope to tee it up again one day!

@ToddJ027b - We didn't get to spend a ton of time together over the weekend, but I did enjoy our brief interactions between all of the golf. I only saw you tee off a couple of times and you looked the part of a solid golfer and backed it up with some stellar play all weekend. Hope we tee it up in the future for sure!

@oumagic - Man, I hate we didn't get to tee it up over the weekend, but I really enjoyed getting to chat with you during the Pizza party and in-between all of the golf stuff going on. Every time I looked over your way, you had a huge smile and was laughing! Great getting to know you and look forward to teeing it up in the future!

@vdubtx - Another guy I didn't get to tee it up with, but did enjoy a few chats over the weekend with. It sounded like your and Max's match was legendary and I wish I could have been there first hand to enjoy it. Keep working on that game and thanks for being such an awesome dude over the weekend. Let's tee it up one day!

@KY Golfer - It was great getting to know you over the weekend. It started with the pre event video and ended with us dueling it out in singles. I really admire your fight, as you just kept clawing back during our match. Thinking back on it, neither of us deserved to lose that match, but we both had already won just being there. I still have no clue how your ball got on the green on #2 . Best wishes to your better half and I am glad she pushed you to come along too! Let me know when you can make some Charlotte golf happen!

@LittleRat - You are the man! Thanks for such a fun weekend and making this experience what it is. I'm definitely sending you some swing videos and I really appreciate your compliments around my game. You and Will were so tough during our Shamble match, Alex and I had ZERO room for any error! Great playing all weekend, but thank you for being such an awesome human being! I will never forget the stories at the end of the trip :censored:.

Congrats again Team Paradise! Well earned!

@maxw72 it was great to meet you. I think you're exactly right about the handicaps. I didn't think about that at all when we played. It was just fun to meet you and play. I just wanted you to teach me how to hit that 3 wood! Those were some rockets. Hope we can get together some time here in our home state and play again. Such a great weekend, great golf with great guys!!

Saturday after competition had ended and some drinks on the patio at TPC, matches were announced and I was really happy I was going to get the chance to play against @maxw72 again.

Just before that morning on the range, I had a quick lesson with Jose @LittleRat on my driver. Those that had watched me play the prior days during practice or on Saturday matches know I am a cutter/slicer with my drives. Took a couple swings so he could see what was going on and he immediately made a couple simple adjustments and explained some things about grip and what my hands were doing. First shot after the adjustments and describing what I was doing and I was amazed, I hit a drive as straight as I had hit one all weekend thus far. Hit a few more balls after and actually hit a draw and some more straight shots.

Nerves on first tee box were, I think, were more intense than when we tee'd off on the Saturday morning for the live stream. On second thought, maybe it was the bourbon and peanut butter whiskey. :ROFLMAO:

After we had all teed off on 1st hole and after the hole was concluded I approached @maxw72 with a fist bump and told him shake it off and let's just have some fun. And fun we did have. I really enjoyed playing against you and we ended up making one heck of a match out of it. You were never too far out as we traded holes and shots, and we made it really exciting for the both of us I think. We each made each other make some shorter putts and we had no hard feelings about any of it. Great competition and I will tee it up with you at any time if you make it to TX or if I make it out to Utah. Next time I am in Vegas, I will certainly be making the trip to Sand Hollow. I know I want to tee it up again with @ToddJ027b out there as well. 👊

Had the pleasure of also getting another round in with @H8tobogie. Dade I appreciate your kindness and patience with me during the round and my questions on rules etc. Will certainly be looking you up when we get down to Austin for a round.

My cartner for Singles was with my dude @MarMill8412. We had played a round together in Oklahoma back in June when I visited my brother that lives in the Oklahoma City area, and was glad I was able to ride with him for the round. He kept me calm and talked me up when I needed it after I made bad shots. Appreciate you bro 👊 I know we will certainly be teeing it up again very soon.

For being in my first experience or event with THP, I can honestly not stop smiling. Every minute I have such great thoughts of what happened this past weekend and I am still in a bit of shock that I was along on this amazing ride.

Getting to meet such awesome like minded individuals that are there to have a great time and just golf together and get to know each other, with no hard feelings as to results of matches is just incredible. I have been in competitive settings in bowling and the camaraderie is there for some, but there are also some that are the polar opposite and will talk up a bad shot to get in your head to gain an advantage over you. That is not even close to present with THP'ers.

THP truly is just special. I found this to be true in person this weekend, but I knew it was when I first joined up several years ago looking for swing tips when I attempted to play the game again. Posted a video which I expected to get roasted on, but was the complete opposite. Was not able to stick with the game at that time due to work. But, when I jumped back in to THP last summer and started to play more regularly I appreciated reading all of the friendly discussions and following along with all of the events and experiences.

I thank all of you for being the incredible people you are, not just those of you that I met at the event, but all of you following along while we were competing. I have not been able to read through the whole thread yet, but can't wait to relive it yet again as I go through each and every post.

Max, it was awesome playing with you on Sunday. You just kept chugging away good shot or bad shot with a smile on your face. By far all of the participants were awesome and nice but you were always so nice a gracious. Hope to get out to another golf round with you!

Mike, It was soooo good playing with you and getting to meet you in person. I know you guys loved some eggplant, but man you are a good guy. I know it couldn't have been easy leaving your 6 month old and wife to come play with everyone. Truly, glad to spend 27 holes and chat it up. Saw some pictures on Insta. You have a beautiful family!

My dude. I already knew we were going to have a blast meeting and playing with you before the event. It was just so much more being able to enjoy everyones company and play golf. I know we will tee it up together soon. You played great all day Sunday.
Playing with you, @MarMill8412 and @maxw72 is a memory I will never forget! You all were gentlemen and great competitors!
Dade, Thank you for being a competitive gracious singles partner. You played a hell of a round. I wish I could have given you more competition that day. Luckily we didn't need it. I hope to come down and play with all you Texas guys sometime if you get anything together! Stay away from the full proof whiskey!

Hey @jdtox
Are you ready for 2021?
