I think it looks amazing and offers more landing than you think. The visual "puckering" is real, but it seems like a well-designed opening hole.

I can see it would be a nervy first tee shot

I kinda feel like that could be said about most holes here. It’s visually intimidating but if you can get over that it plays fairly forgiving until you get to the greens.
