Today - Par 5, Third shot, from 45 yds.

A close second - On the same hole, Drive of 305 yds into the wind (light, but into it nonetheless).

The best shot of the round

8th hole, uphill par 3 into the wind from 140, and my 9 iron came up short. From a front apron, tight lie, 21 yards to the pin I pitched a 55° wedge to inside of a foot for a tap in par. This shot has given me FITS, so to pull it off is a huge step forward.
 
3rd hole , 159 yard par 3, into a one club wind over sand trap, six iron to 3 1/2', missed the putt, it did a 370* lip out :crying:
 
Hit a great seven iron from 156 up over a tree to about 10 feet and it won the hole. Shots like that never get old
 
Two shots from today's round:

#1 - 400yd par 4. Driver to 165, 6i to 4 feet, made the birdie putt.

#10 - 392yd par 4. Driver to 170, 6i to 10 feet, made the birdie putt.

A couple notables today. An uphill par 3 - 130 yards. 9i to about 4 ft. Downhill par 3, 145 Yds, 9i again inside 5ft.

approach on a par 5 - 220y to a downhill green. 3h approach to 8 ft.

And Lastly a second shot on a par 5, 230Yds. 3w to just short of the green (3ft off) missed the eagle and birdie putts. Lol

I would think! I was a little less than 4' from an ace today. Been as close as 6"

Par 4 dogleg left...hit a great drive that turned just around the corner of the bend. Had 150 out and grabbed my PW and produced a nice lag putt to 15 feet! After I skulled the crap out of the ball and said a few words...looked up "hey...this just might work" as it rolled seemingly on purpose towards the hole.


Ummm...not the way I pictured it, but took the par and ran. Driver was hot most of the day today and can't wait to stop slapping at the ball with the irons.

Drive on the fifth, a ~550 yard par5 with a 4wood, 275 left in. Beautiful little draw to the middle of the fairway.
9 holes in 3 hours, that was a killer :(
 
Par 3. Pretty self explanatory haha. 175 out, pure 6 iron for me. Nearly dunked.

165yd par 3, 7 iron to 6 feet. MISSED THE PUTT. Sigh.
 
Hit numerous iron shots to within 15 feet today (which is great for me) but rolled in a breaking 10 footer on punched greens for my only bird of the day. This and a 3 footer were my only 1 putts today....ugly out there.

Ugly 81 though, thats a beautiful kind of ugly.
 
Man I really wish I would've taken a picture of this, but oh well. Hit a 7i on a 140yd par 3, tee was a good 30ft higher than the pin. Hit it long and with a very slight draw. Fell 6ft past the flag and rolled straight back to 3ft. Closed it with the days only birdie.
 
I have to go with both birdie putts from 20ft+ range. I didn't expect for them to go in and both negated a bogey from the previous hole. Really happy with my putting today. ☺
 
My second shot on a par 5 was a high drawing 3 wood that clipped a tree and left me with a blind, uphill 174 yd shot. 6i to 6 feet. Made the birdie putt.
 
From yesterdays round, a downhill / ball below my feet 8i from 155 with a left to right wind that left me with a kick in birdie.
 
167yd Par 3 (the tees are in the yellow oval), 6 iron bounced off of the pin. Closest I've come to an Ace in 15 years. Flinched the putt into the left side of the hole for a 2.

Didn't have many I wanted to remember today. But I did hit a PW on #17 from about 120 to 5 feet...and then promptly lip out the birdie try to bust my 6 round birdie streak LOL

Last hole, pitching wedge from around 115 out, landed 5 feet from the hole and stuck there.

I two putted after lipping out, but I think I was still in awe of dropping one on the green and having it stick perfectly.
