There was a really long line to get in there when we visited a few weeks ago so I didn't get chance to experience one of these myself. Went to the secret pizza place at the Cosmo across the street instead. Man, you could record a lifetime of food porn in that city in just a week - it's crazy.

If a restaurant served me two scoops of plain rice like that I'd probably throw them back at them after balling them up into tight, impenetrable balls that could replace ball-bearings in industrial applications.

Good advice. That probably goes for just about everything in Vegas. Shell out $$ and get preferential treatment. I'm the opposite of a "high roller" so all of that is foreign to me

Agreed, but it's in a styrofoam container so I don't think we're getting super fancy here

In Hawaii you get 2 scoops of rice with everything. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Wasn't much of a rice eater before I moved here.

I have now been to the best ice cream place on the planet: Salt and Straw in Portland. It's across the street from my favorite restaurant but we've never gone in because there's ALWAYS a line out the door and down the block. I now know why.

I sampled these flavor: Arbequina Olive Oil, Green Apple and Wasabi, Pear and Blue Cheese. They sound crazy but are insanely good. Shown below in clockwise order starting at 12 O'Clock: Pear and Blue Cheese, Snickerdoodle, Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons and Chocolate Gooey Brownie.
