Its not about his stats. Trust me on this one. Also check some research, I am not alone. Just about everybody is saying the same thing. He has all the skills, but he has battled a young line, bad defense, platooning, injuries, etc...
I dont think his numbers will be much better this year either, but he will be a top prospect.

Bucs wont win the division but they should be better then the Rams or Bills. Alot of very good young talent that will hopefully grow and blossom very nicely together the next 2-4 years.

I'll take your word for it JB since you prob see more of him than I do but I would think most scouts will use his stats at least as a reference. I don't think he'll be a 1st rounder (Barkley would be if he came out) but maybe he'll be a 2nd or 3rd which isn't bad either. I thought they said the same things about John Beck from BYU a few years ago and he couldn't win the Miami QB job before Pennington was signed.

No, they run a pro style offense.

Different type of player. Beck was a system QB that struggled with the deep out. Ponder has a cannon when needed, runs a pro offense, and is extremely intelligent.

I assure you, he is the exception not the rule. Our QBs have been terrible for a long time, but this kid has talent. I never saw him that high, until I started reading the 2011 scout books we got last week. Some have him as high as 2nd.

I'm REALLY hoping the Jaguars snag Ponder some how. I'm obviously nowhere near a scout, but from what I've seen...he is right up there with the best of the prospects in '11.

Then that will help him get drafted quick then (just look at all the buzz around Clausen this year and he probably was not as good). Take a look at your top 5 for next year (include Barkley) and 4 out of 5 will be running a pro style offense (the only one not is the fella from Arkansas). That will be a topic of much discussion from now til then.

I think Mallet runs the pro at Arkansas...that's why he transferred from Michigan

Bobby Petrino dude. I think he adjusted it because of him (more step back throws than option reads) which I think he did in Louisville hen Brohm was there but it's still a spread. I think he transferred from Michigan because Rick Rod had him low on the depth chart and if you know Rick he don't bend for no one.
