You’ve waited, and today is the day, UST Mamiya is officially releasing their new DART V TSPX iron shafts.

What do we know about them? Thus far very little as UST has been tight lipped with a fun amount of secrecy. However, THP’er do currently have them in hand and have been testing them already. This thread will be for their feedback and information, as well as from UST Mamiya and any of you who get the chance to try them as well!

I’ve got the 120X in for testing and have installed them into Edel SMS Pro iron heads which I recently reviewed with UST’s DART 105’s in them, so it’s been fun to see a comparison.

They’re built out to +1/4” and currently swing weight at D3 for me.

I’ve got thoughts, but first I thought I’d share some PW and 9i data.

Jman these are your gamers, the last I saw you were playing the 105 Rapid Tapers and now went to these 120x is that correct? I'm super enamored with your review cause I'm currently gaming the 105 Rapid Tapers and considering shifting up some weight.

@Jman do you have comparative numbers in the Edel thread? It would be cool to see apples to apples with the only difference being shaft.

I will be reviewing the 105 F4 in the Cobra MiM Tours.

How do these compare to the DARTS that just launched a couple months ago? What make this DART shaft different and how? I ask because I have the DART 90's about ready to go into my paradyms but now see these....

With very little details out I suppose I should give this one since stated isn't always actual with weights on shafts. The 120X raw are right in the 118-122g range with a very slight progression.

Copper on black. Very nice. 👍
OldAndStiff remind me what you were playing, it's so hard to keep track of who's going from what to what here?

I think right before that video I was playing DG 120 X100 hard stepped and spending a lot of time with the SteelFiber i125cw X.

dude those graphics are perfect! major kudos to ust for keeping the look very subtle and classy, rather than flashy and overwrought.

i can't wait for more feedback from the boys!!! would love to know what shafts you guys prefer, and whether you've played graphite in the past.

I'll have a few videos today. I'm not a video expert.

I was selected to test these UST Mamiya DART V Concept TSPX shafts in the 105 F4 shaft. I worked with @DannyLe and we decided to soft step the shafts and I'm at a D2 swing weight.

Personally, I think UST got an ace on the shaft color and graphics. In the sun the mat black shaft doesn't have much if any reflection. That's a huge plus for me. The graphics look awesome!

I installed them in my Apex Triple Play (5i-9i, PW, AW) which originally had the MCA MMT 95S. For those who have followed me, know I'm pretty smitten with those iron shafts. Just so you know those will not go back in. These are DEFINTELY better!!

I took an unorthodox approach and had the graphics facing the iron face. It looks really good that way and draws my eyes down the shaft to the face. The V logo also points straight down the shaft and helps with face alignment.

These check the box for looks. I need to know of these are the proto replacements or something completely different. Also I’m immediately pondering these for wedges

Oh baby those look good. @Jman i'll be paying attention .

@Jman I need all the specs too! Can't wait to see what they are. Although, part of me really doesn't care. These iron shafts just perform!

@OldandStiff - Thanks for the details, so you were totally steel, then flriting with steelfiber and now have pure heavy graphite with these. I'm super super interested on what you find in terms of dispersion, feel etc. You're way better golfer than I, but that's still really interesting!

The outdoor pics looks sooooo good. As a minimalist design/logo guy these are everything
