That's actually not a bad club, the shaft is pretty whippy but the head itself works well.

D-Stick - 310
2 Hybrid - 270
3 Hybrid - 235
4i - 225
5i - 215
6i - 205
7i - 195
8i - 185
9i - 175
PW - 160
50* - 145
54* - 130
58* - 115

Im 6'4" 250 so im pretty big, turing 17 in a few weeks, so i guess im still a junior.

Damnit shouldn't you be playing football? :D

There are guys like that in my school, but I can never see them playing golf.

Yeah, but golf and football are in the same season. And im better at golf. =]

These are all estimates, I'm not too knowledgeable with my distances. I think this is a good reasonable estimate.

Driver: ~ 250 yards
4 wood: ~200 yards
SW: ~100 yards
PW: 110-120 yards
9 Iron: 130-140 yards
8 Iron: 140-150 yards
7 Iron: 150-160 yards
6 Iron: 160-170 yards
5 Iron: 170-180 yards
4 Iron: 180-190 yards

This is all very good information. Guys please don't get too caught up in how far everything goes. Most of the really good players including tour players have geared down there distances to get more accuracy. I don't care how far you hit the ball if you don't know where it is going. Swing in control and I would like to see some threads about how many fairways and greens you hit in your rounds as well as how many times you are able to get up and down in your rounds.

You're right amollerud, im reeling back my distances about 5-10 yards to try and make my game more accurate. I know im a long hitter so i don't really get caught up in my distance. Im more impressed with people that can work the ball then the guys that can pound it. A perfect example is a guy called Cy Kilgore who won the Tedesco CC, where i caddy, club championship 14 times and he cant hit his driver more than 200 yards, but he stiffs every shot he hits.

I agree completely. Someone should make a thread about that.

Driver - 240-260
3 Wood - 230
3H - 215-225
4i - 190
5i - 180
6i - 170
7i - 160
8i - 150
9i - 140
PW - 130
54* - 90
60* - 70

I have quite a bit of a gap in between my PW and 54*, and it bites me in the azz everytime I play.

You should consider switching to a 52* then, I had the exact same problem and it was easily fixed with a 52*

Yup I took out my 60* and put in my 50*, I can do everything with my 54* I did with the 60 and there are no more gap issues.

Guys. I agree with the pro completely. It is great to hit the ball a long way, but without accuracy, distance is worthless. Plus, ensure you know your exact distances for each club. I have a range that I can hit each club in my bag. Keep practicing and playing. Golf is a wonderful sport.

These are all my rough, average, carry distances

Driver- 240 yards
3 Wood- 220 yards
5 Wood- 200 yards
3 Hybrid- 190 yards
4 Hybrid- 180 yards
5 Iron- 170 yards
6 Iron- 160 yards
7 Iron- 150 yards
8 Iron- 140 yards
9 Iron- 130 yards
PW- 120 yards
GW 105 yards
SW- 90 yards

My carry distances are yours minus 5 yds. I have a smooth swing. If I did swing harder, I doubt I would gain any distance because I probably wouldn't hit the sweet spot often. I'm hoping a custom fitting will help my gain a few yards.

I haven't had a full custom fitting yet, but I've heard that it helps greatly!

I talked to a golfsmith guy the other day and he told me an Iron fitting was free. So I'll do it in Florida.

Nice, I'm gunna fit my whole set in August after I move to Oregon.

I'm only 22 and everyone I play with is over 50, so I'm a junior darn it, lol.

My distances;

Driver 270
4 wood 245
3i hy 225
4i hy 210
4i 195
5i 185
6i 175
7i 165
8i 155
9i 145
PW 130
54* 105
60* 85

I'm trying to figure out how to rearrange the top, I have issues in the 110-115 range, so I kind of want to put my 50* back in the bag. I'm thinking of ditching the 4i, since if I can take a smaller swing on the 4i hybrid and get the same distance but I don't know if my ego is quite up for it.

Since regular lessons I've added about 10 yards to each.

im 16 and a sophmore in highschool my distances are:

Driver: 290-300
3 Wood : 270
2 iron: 240
3 iron: 230
4 iron: 220
5 iron: 200
6 iron: 190
7 iron: 180
8 iron: 165
9 iron: 155
P iron: 145
52: 120
60: 100

I'm sorry, but that is a little hard to believe. (a 16 y/o hitting 300 with his driver)

But if it's true...keep it up. That's impressive.

No offence dude, but maybe you should check your averages again. I used to think I averaged 290 with the driver, I was wrong.

Youngsters who can hit 300 yard drives do exist. I have a 15 year old grandson who can hit 290-300 yards more times than not. He can hit his PW 140 yards. Problem is at 6'5", and 250 lbs he plays more football than he golfs. The other problem is he has no short game. Finesse shots are no longer a part of his golf game. A 6' putt is hit hard enough to run 10' past the hole. He lost that part of his game when he took up football as a freshmen in high school. His second favorite sport behind football is basketball. His golf game is just something he keeps around when he wants to hang out with "grand pa" 2, or 3 times a month. :comp:

I do agree, but more times than not, is still not average. Averaging 300 is mostly hitting it over 300 every time.

Even Averaging 289 is hitting every drive over 250 everytime. With most reaching 290.
