Sleepless nights and migraines.

Dude you aren't joking about the migraines. It's this crap we call weather. Constant on and off rain every single day. My head feels like it's gonna explode

Yep I didn't even make it into work today. Looks like I'm headed the same way for tomorrow.

Headed back to work after a week off.

At least I had a day off after getting home to try and deal with the post THP Event Blues.

I need to get into another event to have something to look forward to.

This afternoon is going to be a long one here in the office - the atmosphere is slightly frosty

Next Tuesday and Wednesday another engineer and I were supposed to have Six Sigma training. I was actually really looking forward to this. Found out this morning someone else scheduled training for us on top of this after we scheduled and paid for the Six Sigma training. Now we can't do it and it had effects on our bonuses. If I lose out on that part of my bonus because someone cant read a calendar, there is going to be a huge problem. Great way to start my day.

I haven't worked OT in 14 months and am forced to work mandatory OT today for 12hrs this f#<€+¥g sucks.

I hope the reason you were looking forward to the six sigma training was the bonus.

Caught a 3w skinny when slipping on a tee box, nailed a deer in the hind leg on the fly and she went down. She got up lame and limped into the forest. I yelled fore :(

True definition of a Tiger stinger.

Hoping the deer is alright!

I mean she got up, couldn't be too bad right? I felt awful. Wasn't even swinging hard at it, it was just really really saturated ground and lost my footing.

She will shake it off.

Again, eerily similar to a story I heard (or saw) in Lake Charles.

It's a pet peeve when people performing the national anthem don't know, or sings the wrong words.
Also, it's a solemn song, don't dress it up or put a dramatic touch to it.

Sing the damn song with respect!

This.

I did however think that Josh Turner's "God Bless America" at the ASG was one of the best I've heard.

That and if I continue with the six sigma training which I would have/will since the company pays for it, the earning potential, key word is quite large.

I left Virginia to come back home last night because my mother was doing well after the surgery to take out a portion of her right lung due to cancer. I woke up this morning and called to check on her and she had deteriorated overnight and was in trouble this morning. I was about to head back up there and got another call saying that they had to drain some air from her chest cavity and once they did, she improved immediately and could even talk to me on the phone.

It's a roller coaster ride, that's for sure.

Dude, that's tough. Best thoughts and prayers for your Mom.

Ellie is going to see the heart specialist tomorrow. If things go well, she can have the ACL surgery again, if not, we are going to have to make some decisions. Poor thing is hobbling on 3 legs right now. She has pain meds thankfully, but its going to be a rough go of it.

Im trying to convince GG to not attend Legacy and stay with her, but its not going well. Then again, if she does stay, I would need a GG replacement and assistant to the regional manager is out of town, so that might not be an avenue either. Just a rough stretch.

Ugh that's horrible Josh. I always get nervous when the dogs start running around and playing a little rough that they might do something like tear an ACL. I get so paranoid if they ever limp or anything like that. Best of luck to Ellie!

Radiator cooling fan went out on our Honda today. This coming shortly after we just spent $840.oo on a new timing belt . Spent another $800.00 bucks on new Michelin tires this year and this little doozy will be approx $340.00

$840 for a belt?

I'm intrigued. Tell me more about that incident.

My understanding is that it's not so much the part but the labor for timing belts, but I don't know much other than we made sure it had been replaced when we bought our new van.

I bet they replaced water pump and pulleys too according to some research I just did.

It's minor compared to what was going on around here today, but I got to purchase and install a new garbage disposal tonight which was a skill I didn't posses four hours ago.

Getting ready to pack Ellie up and bring her to the specialist to find out if her heart is strong enough to take the surgery. Its hard for her obviously, and for us, but the weight of having our entire next month up in the air plans wise because of the outcome adds to it. Hopefully they say she can do the surgery and we can get her in right away.

Hoping for positive news Josh.

I haven't been in the loop for a long time about what's been happening on the forum, but I know how you feel JB. After my mom passed we brought get doc to my house and he had to have a major bladder surgery but they were so unsure if and when they could perform it due to his age/health. I hope you get nothing but good news.

Ellie's heart is strong enough for surgery. Yay! It changes our plans for the next week in a cluster kind of way, but she will be repaired on Tuesday of next week. Sadly I won't be here to comfort her, but her mom will stay behind and make sure she has all the love she needs.
