Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today Ryan Hawk joins the conversation to talk about getting back into the game and golfing with family.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Ryan discuss everything from from getting back into the game to the amount of change in golf equipment that has taken place over the last seven years. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Ryan Hawk goes Off Course.
Episode 121 is here and Dan and Ryan discuss the following topics.
Coming Back to the Game
Change in Equipment Over the Last 7 Years
The Improvement Journey and Tracking
Golfing with Family
And so much more

I’ve loved going down memory lane, but the future definitely has me excited right now.
Dan is so dang good at directing a rambling guest such as myself ?
Glad to have my buddy Hawk back on THP
This is a great episode and I loved hearing Ryan’s take on all of it. It is great to hear someone’s take that was in the game, then really out of it during a time of huge change. Then coming back in as almost a golf Rip Van Winkle type experience.. The game has changed lol..
Thanks guys really fun.
That’s a funny way to put it – and very true in many ways. I mentioned hollow bodied irons as one of the last things I reviewed and the difference in perception, looks, and performance is pretty shocking.
Helps that @Hawk is a legend.
You’re a legend
Factoid:
@adwillingham was the first THP’r I played with (along with @Smallville and @SeeMoreGuy). I thought Donne was a god.
@adwillingham is awesome.
And I really badly need another round with him soon.
Yes he is! Greater Cincinnati can’t be that far from him. I really think this is all leading to an early spring weekend.
The 2011 reunion Tour hahaha
In that case, we hit up Sarasota National ?
It has been a different outlook and goal for me from my first go round. Good golf is a secondary goal now and it’s become an actual release from stress instead of a stress adder. I’m not all zen all the time and I still want to play well, but I’m nowhere near the wedge tomahawking fool I was before either.
the grandaddy home field advantage is real. All of the newness of everything, new courses to me, new clubs, new conditions, of course are going to have an effect on my game. And that is ok. All we can do is try our best and let the chips fall where they do. Thanks for that great reminder guys.
He and @Canadan together had me reminiscing endlessly. And yes, St. Louis!!
loved the point about building consistent habits, and results may follow
Looking forward to the content and man it’s a good day for THP when the OG is back.
