This is your first look at the limited edition driver that will hit the Cobra Golf online store tomorrow and it is a stunner.
Cobra is launching their new Pars & Stripes SPEEDZONE and SPEEDZONE Xtreme Drivers. The new style celebrates America with inspiration from the US Open and July 4th featuring a white crown, a sole that has red and blue highlights and the exclusive Blue PVD Milled Infinity Face.
It will also feature a Fujikura Ventus Blue shaft, a Red/White/Blue grip and of course Cobra Connect built right in.
The word we received was that these are pretty darn limited in total count made and when they are sold out, no more would be created. The cost is $549 and the roll out from Cobra Golf will be on Monday through social media, so you are getting a bit of a head start.
One area not to overlook is that while the aesthetics are a bit augmented with the gorgeous Red, White and Blue, the performance is still there. SPEEDZONE and SPEEDZONE Xtreme continue to get rave reviews almost universally on the THP Forum by a growing user base that continues to jump on board. With over 2000 posts and growing by the day, there is a ton of information straight from other golfers just like you that are putting this in play and talking about. Find their thoughts here.
PARS & STRIPES SPEEDZONE: 9 Degree available with MyFly8 Loft settings that range from 7.5 to 10.5 in loft.
PARS 7 STRIPES SPEEDZONE XTREME: 10.5 Degree available with MyFly8 Loft settings that range from 9 to 12 degrees in loft.
Both models are available in Stiff and Regular and RH only. X-Stiff does have options available in the custom program.

Mine comes today. Fittingly in my league last night my F9 was a mess, it was almost like it knew. I likely was likely going to keep playing the f9 and tinker with the SZ, but it will go straight in the bag when I play tomorrow now.

There must be something in the air. Mine comes in tomorrow and yesterday evening, I guess there was a nick I didn’t notice on the shaft, and my G30 snapped in half at impact.
This is most anti left driver I’ve ever played and I’m not a slicer.
My Pars & Stripes just arrived, won’t have time to unbox until later though.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing for you, just asking?

We will see, I have a tournament Saturday. Typically I am really straight with driver, so I’m not sure yet.

I do believe that the driver is a bit fade biased in the standard, 9 degree head. There is always the draw setting. For me, if I focus on making a good pass at the ball, it comes out as a very straight, mid-high ball flight. Low spin… The Xtreme head is much easier to turn over, at least for me.

This is what I am hoping for as well. Maiden voyage tomorrow. So nice I don’t even want to take it out of the wrapper yet but the tee time calls

I’m not hopeful but I’ll definitely be checking again….and again….

This is the first NEW driver I’ve gotten since the SLDR. Every driver I’ve gamed since has been used. To say that I’m in love with the new car smell is an understatement.
Got mine yesterday, it will be in the bag for Monday’s round of golf. Love the headcover it came with.
The pictures of this one is making it hard not picking one up. I am 100% satisfied with my Marik, but the color combinations on this one is outstanding.

it really looks sensational. saw a pic of the shaft and it is in fact the velocore ventus. that puts this at a pretty darn good price point.

it looks new, but I literally have played one round and hit 10 balls with it.

Almost too good to pass up.
First round in the books with mine. Front 9 I was not a fan. Lighter than my previous driver and I was swinging pretty tentatively. Back 9 flipped the weight to the back and started to get after it more. The more I did, the better it seemed to get. Still some more tweaking to get ball flight where I want but showed promise. Just need to do something about the sound. Little louder than I’m used to with my previous 2 drivers being an f9 and an ltd
Well, round 2 in the books. Just 9 for league last night. The 9 we played is one you typically dont pull driver out much so only had 4 swings. Got right after it like I normally would and all 4 were nice straight bombs. Only 4 swings I know, but very excited about the tenancies so far. My normal hook/pull miss is gone so far and even my baby fade I was playing with my f9 is seemingly gone as well. Just straight. Contact all around the center as well with same results. Still looks like its launching too low but the distance is more than my f9 so I’ll leave it for now until I can see some numbers inside that make me think otherwise.
I kinda love the face color of this driver. If it holds up, I wonder if we see it again.

You need one of these! The Xtreme is seriously a good driver and I could see it being a really good fit for your game!

I’ll post some more photos after I have 10 or so rounds with it. So far, so good, but I have probably only hit 30 or 40 balls with it.
Red shaft would be killer in this item.
I’ve got a Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 S Flex on mine right now and love the combination.
Really well done, smitten with my Speedzone and I Still have my F9 Avalanche from last year
The standard head with the Ventus Blue 6 S shaft is pretty ideal for my swing.
If you want to get some looks, pull out a Cobra Pars and Stripes driver on Independence Day. Ha ha.
Here is the face after three rounds and one good indoor TrackMan session. I think it will hold up fine if you use a clean, dry ball. I know somebody who doesn’t post who has one and it is not holding up as well, but the difference is likely that he is not wiping off range balls on a sandy range. I think there is risk that the face will not be as durable cosmetically as other drivers, but so far so good for me.
