  • I may be in the minority on this, but this release and the way it’s being distributed makes a ton of sense. Especially since it is an existing product from their Japanese line.

  • I like that they are targeting a different category of end consumers with these. It will not be long until I am in that target audience. The looks are quite classy to me and I have no issues with it being bonded as opposed to adjustable.

  • Same technology, slightly more expensive shaft, no adjustable hosel, different paint, probably existing weights, LEATHER headcover…..
I cannot justify the price difference, especially if Callaway emphasizes fitting and buyer does not fit into the shaft…
Looking at the actual specs, Diamana M+ Green is only 1g difference with the Grand Bassara shaft.
So other than keeping the product price in line with the Japan market, I don’t get the pricing…

  • The price difference? The Diamana M+ Green 50 is a dog compared to the Grand Bassara – one is $450, the other is a no cost option without a lot of energy. The Grand Bassara is an exotic liteweight shaft in mid-torque that performs beautifully. It will give you added distance and consistency if it’s a fit as compared to the Green.

  • I love the idea of targeting slower swing speed players. The cost is significant but that’s part of the package. I hope there is a place where I can try it as I can’t spend that kind of money on a maybe!!!
