The real question, which answers the other, is do you bring your own putter?

a mini golf course in my town held the Harris Cup last year, which is the national chapionship for mini-golf. Serious golfers only.

They do have a PPA (Professional Putters Association). I know someone who played in it for a few years.

I played some regional PPA tournaments in early 70's (NC and SC)and really enjoyed it.It affected my putting when I started playing real golf though. In real PPA play, you rarely hit a straight shot, instead playing a lot of "banks" and putting "english" on the shots. When we went to a new course and played a practice round, a local would tell us stuff like use the 2nd from right tee hole and bank the ball at the small paint chip on the rail 3 ft down the left side.Funniest shot I was told to hit was bank it at the bird "crap" mark on the rail.I guess if it rained they had no reference!

When I play mini golf, I'll putt either left handed or take one of the kid putters out just to mess around.

I may be seriously competitive at golf, but if I'm out with family and windmills, there is no way in hell I am taking it seriously.

I didn't know where to put this but I figured this would do. How would you like to have this in your backyard. Better yet what's your take on mini golf does any THPer try hard when playing with the family/friends?

There is a great little par 3 all grass putting course not far from me. Been there a couple of times and it is pretty fun. No matter who I play with, I'm in it to win. I'm always driven to be the best, although I'm not always the best.

Just looked at the link, and I must say, that is really cool. Never heard of anything like that, would love one of those around here.

whne I first started playing real golf, I took my own putter to play mini golf all the time

This course was constructed by and is ran by a local guy that worked a number of years for Pete Dye. It is very cool for sure.
