Hello all! I searched the forum and couldn't really find a thread on socks except for Swiftwick and Pro Compression so I thought I would start one to see what everybody's take was on socks for golf. I am currently using Thorlo's Experia http://www.thorlo.com/socks/experia-socks/micro+mini-crew/686.php which I seem to like a lot because they have the cushion and some compression but I also have a few pair of Nike compression running socks which are not too bad also. Curious to hear what everyones take is and maybe learn a thing or two!

Swiftwick hands down.

I use whatever socks I happen to be wearing that day.

Under Armor sock is all I wear. Great socks

Ping or Adidas golf socks

just the ones that cover my toes

Under Armour and Asics for me. I prefer the fit of the Under Armour socks but the Asics are softer and a bit more comfortable.
That being said, I bought some Adidas earlier this week that I plan to try.

Funny you bring this up, I just got some "golf socks" and I love them. I think they are made by Jockey.

Swiftwick hands down.
I've always heard great things about them, but I'm not sure what style/size to get. Once the weather get's warmer I'll be in shorts every round, but I find that the low socks tend to work their way down under my heel and then I tend to get blisters, but I don't want the sock to be too high as I like the low style.
The aspire one:

Or the performance one:

They seem to be the best of both worlds, anyone have experience with them in terms of fit and style?

Currently use UA for all my rounds, but want to try the Swiftwick.

Nike ankle socks, some black some white..............

Contact John from Fairwaystyles.com and he will give you the best advice. I have both and like both quite a bit. I swear every time I wear another brand of socks, they just don't feel as good as the Swiftwicks.

I am a big fan of those tube socks that come up to your knees with the 3 stripes in 2 different colors at the top.

I like fishnets...thigh high.

These are the bad boys i wear Adidas crew socks

Will do JB, thanks for the great info.

I'm going to order some Swiftwick socks. Has anyone come across a vendor where it's possible to order something like a 3-6 pack of them to save a little money compared to buying individual pairs? It would cost a lot of money to fill my sock drawer with those.

Definitely get some swiftwick. That's about all I'll wear on the golf course now.

I've been sporting the champion wicking golf socks that you can pick up at target. I walk 4 or 5 rounds a week and they have held up and don't get soggy on wet or hot days. They're also very affordable. I've got a 3 pack of black and two 3 packs in white.

The only socks I own anymore, other than dress socks, are SmartWool and Injinji.

Kentwool...the official golf sock of Hanks

I wear puma socks for all kinds of sports activity

I apparently don't pay enough attention to my socks on the course. Lt. Dan Taylor would probably kick my arse for that. I wear my usual no show socks, in either Nike when I need black or Hanes when I need white.

Injinji!
