I've heard the chromebook is actually quite good if you're just going for playing games, searching, media consumption. Is that all you're going for?
It's basically a tablet, except in laptop form. Great for email, internet usage, video streaming and such.

Pretty sure that is all he will do

Might be all he needs then.

Some awesome deals on non-smart LED TVs at best buy today.. almost bought a 32 inch 1080p to upgrade my gaming experience..

Opted out at the last second.

32" and gaming experience should not be in the same sentence. Common Dan.

Holidays came early and a sharp elite 65" is showing up on Monday! Thank you movers for breaking my 5 year old tv

Go big or go home. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Sharp. I've got a 47" LG LED now, but the father is looking to upgrade soon and has it narrowed down to Sharp and LG. Looking in the 55"-60" range.

HAHHAHAH. That answer rocks!!!

Agreed with Golf Ghost and JB. Canadan, you gotta go big man. Nothing less than 46". And that's an entry level gamer TV size. My 56" is starting to feel too small!!!

The old thread was getting too big so I closed it and started this one.

Is there a link to some of the old post's? There was ton's of good information to review.

Im trying to convince GG to upgrade to Windows 8 right now. She can do it on her laptop (only about 6 months old) for like $40 or something.

I will be upgrading our HP desktop as well, the $40 upgrade is nice.

One thing I am excited about is the desktop HP we have is a Touchscreen, and I think that will work VERY well with Windows 8 on it.

It seems to on the Surface, that is for sure.

I'm a fan of it with a touchscreen. We took our model away that I was using and I kind of miss it.

Does anyone have any experience with the Mota extended battery cases for the 4 and 4S?? There 25$ on groupon and I'm bad for forgetting to charge my phone.

I am trying to convince my wife that I suck at video games so bad because our TV is too small (60"). I found a suitable solution in a 93" Mitsubishi, it's DLP, but still....

Stick with the Mophie brand.
