You would be surprised how many people don't want to be bothered hosting events or even returning phone calls or emails. This was an eye opener for sure. I have a new found respect for what Josh and Morgan do.
I know what you mean. I've been on both sides - worked at a golf course all through high school and have also tried to coordinate events at my current workplace. It's a ton of work and it generally goes unnoticed.

Guys rather than guessing and going around in circles, I can inform you that Dev is doing a TREMENDOUS job and it will be a great event.

If the location is Hartford, Wintonbury Hills would probably be my choice. I really enjoyed playing that course when I was up there.
I have not golfed in/around New Haven, but there are apparently several excellent courses in that area as well.
Knowing the location is CT likely solidifies that I am making this Invitational. I just need a couple business items to fall my way for this to be a reality. Pretty excited.

My favorite was the guy that wanted to charge $5 per person for range balls. I almost fell out of my chair.

Haha, yeah it was quite shocking. The guy was a real jerk about it to. I won't say which course because it's not my style but needless to say we will not be playing there.
