This thread is popping off the chains with excitement. 4 days until the invitational with several members arriving over the next days. Going to be hard to follow along via the forums and not be there!

All you can eat salad and veggies at the buffet, I am good with that. Last round for me today, only got 14 in before the winds came and blew us off the course. I feel good, pretty sure TBD has this locked down FTW! :)

Sounds good to me. Heck, the buffet manager may take one look at me and offer me some cash to not eat there! More money for gambling!

Packed up the clubs last night. I will be packing up the Bridgestone backpack tonight. Then, I'll be ready to head to LC for some soda fun. Friday is almost here. Can't wait to hit the road with the DFW crew.

Left work yesterday feeling like I was coming down with something. Doing everything I can to knock it out before it gets to bad. Either way, I'm still headed out late this afternoon. Can't let a little illness ruin my fun.
 
Front 9 - Shamble
Both players tee off and then pick the best drive. Each player plays the remainder of the hole from that spot until the ball is holed. The combination of both scores will be the team's score on each hole.

Back 9 - Modified Pinehurst
In Modified Pinehurst, both team members tee off. They select the one best drive, then play alternate shot into the cup. The golfer whose drive was not chosen hits the second shot.

Modified pinehurst, I'm thinking some strategy will be at play here especially. Using farthest drive can the other guy get on from there, or take a chance with a shorter drive leaving a longer hitter a chance to hit the green.

Something to think about.

2 Invitationals and now 2 with different formats....NICE
 
Oh, this is going to be a fun round of golf. Lots to think about. I've played both formats before. Both are fun and require both players to be in the game on every hole.
