WGC-Dell Match Play Thread (Spoilers)

Honest question TH. Do you think outside of Texas guys or true golf die hards people know who wins the Junior Am? Im asking genuinely because I honestly dont know, but I honestly couldnt tell you who won any of them, and I work in golf. I asked a guy at a club company just now, and he got 1 of the 2 Tiger Woods years right only.
Definitely not. Heck, I'd venture a gues that most golf die hards don't know (I couldn't tell you anyone that's won it other than the two discussed in this thread).

Not something I follow or candidly am interested in so i guess the answer would be no. I can barely remember most US Amateur champs

It was Will Zalotoris(sp?) last year right? Only know that because the dude who is his caddie/strategy guy posts on a poker forum I am on. Thread started out as a state am, or junior am and he won that. Then he went and won the US Jr Am and then Made match play at the US Am and qualified for Riviera PGA tournament. Was a fun thread to follow. I may be off and he won 2 years ago though.

Eff you Jason Day haha

I went 7-3 today in fantasy...hopefully my boys keep it up!

Is there any spectators at this event? Seems pretty silent out there.

WTF. Berger just made Phil make the putt. It couldnt have been from more than 10 inches.

I think us Texans all know that Spieth won the Jr Am only because he followed it up with an NCAA championship and immediate success on the PGA Tour. Other than him and TW, I don't know if anyone knows who has won this in the past.

I tried to highlight those who I think were at least partly successful at the pro level.

This is Texas....no one shows up on time here.

Austinites are too busy drinking craft brews and lighting up .

I actually saw a shirt/sticker/ad that said "Keep The Weird People In Austin"

That was funny. The announcers were raving about Patrick Rodger's swing, how it was a classic modern swing. Then he proceeds to hit an iron off the tee about 30 yards left into the mangrove trees and they changed their tune to say "terrible, terrible, terrible"

I think you can go ahead and highlight Zalatoris, my money is on him winning a PGA event

Austin is an awesome place and nothing like most of Texas

Spieth should be about 6 up right now. Victor is pouring in some bombs for par. LOL.

Sergio just missed the green from 51 yards! Moore stuck one to about 8 inches right before he went and that was his answer. Not good. Moore is going to win unless Sergio can chip one in here.

Just waiting for the bank shot hole in 1 on 13. And not giving the 20 inch putts is interesting.
