Scotty Cameron putters

Buy a shaft from the Golf Works. SC hosels are .355" The only difference will be the butt diameter (stock SC is .580) OTR TT putter shafts are .600

When I used to buy their .355 shafts for putters they were always stepless - rifle-like, as it were.

Like I said the old "Head Speed" True Temper shafts that Cameron used (tapered) are harder to get your hands on.

Occasionally when I thrift I will find one in an old generic putter or some such, and I will pull it and save it.

They have about 4 "steps".

We finally got some good weather this week so I got the Newport 2.5 out on the course. I had been practicing at home with the my Puttout Mat but had not got it on the course yet. I know some don't like the new SC insert and prefer the full milled face but coming from the White Hot RX insert, the Scotty insert is the perfect balance between full milled and the much softer RX.

I went against everything in a putter that I had sworn by with the Newport 2.5, mallet to blade, 33" to 35", near minimum toe flow to near max, SS 3.0 Slim to Matador Mid and the milled insert. I went into the store looking to purchase the Fastback which is closer to what I had been playing but after a hour and half the results did not lie so I went with what was working for me. After practicing at home and now 18 holes plus some outdoor practice green this week, I made the right decision.

Bottom line is this thing just inspires confidence with a nice little click off the face. My putting has saved me on numerous occasions but I have never felt this good standing over a putt. I found myself expecting to make everything and the distance control with lag putts was better than ever.

So happy to have this cover back in my collection. Prototype - 1 of 2 made (maybe 3, but that's unconfirmed.) I let it go back in 2015 and have regretted it. But now, thanks to a friend, it has found its way back to me. Think this time I'll put it in my bag.

I have been getting along with my putter well since I made a bit of adjustment. Older guy I was playing with said I need to get my eyes over the ball more. It had seemed to help quite a bit especially on putts under 10 feet.

Just bought an old Scotty Cameron Bullseye flange putter on Ebay. What a cool putter!

Even after all the crap I had with the finishes on the last two and swearing them off forever I am again considering a Scotty....damnit

You need a FB+ welded flow neck CircleT.

I know a guy.

I would guess the price would scare me out of the rest of my hair

I don't really know if it's a proto or if it's just a 2 off cover. It was at M&G in the fall of 2014, and the two that were there were the only two that have ever surfaced. I'm pretty sure they came on some very special putters.

It's also the first time anyone had seen the design for the "rainbow" ct cover that debuted on tour sticks in early 2015.

Peter kills it!

Peter kills it!

I commissioned Peter to refresh another putter for me. This time a 2012 SS Newport 2.5.
Original finish was Scotty’s black mist. This is the first Putter I ever bought when I started playing this frustrating game.

I went with Peter’s no maintenance Anthracite grey.

Came out superb!!

Finally received my order from the custom show and I am absolutely floored with the results. Hard to believe it’s the same putter. New to posting here and can’t figure out how to post the before and after pics from my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Thinking about sending this in to have them restore & get some new paint.

That, my friend, does not need to be restored. No sense in losing a bunch of head weight for a couple of nicks. Paint is easy. If you don't want to do it yourself, I'll do it for you.

My Newport 2.5 has been in the bag for a couple of days and is rolling pretty well for me. Still some stamping left to be done but I sure do like it so far.

Rolled this one yesterday, it's good to shock the eye with something different from time to time. Two rounds and I was pretty lethal with it. Just such a beauty.

This is basically pron.
Haha, I forgot how beautiful it really is. Keeping this one, forever, whether I game it or not.

This one though, needs a new home...
