WGC Accenture Match Play Championship [Spoilers]

I would like to see mannasero win it all.

This would be good to see! But I think he's lacking that little bit of experience that may be needed to push through and win this. I don't doubt it'll come though.

ps I did tip Matteo to have a big season...so why not!

So out of the remaining golfers who is everyone pulling for? Of course Gmac for me, just love how he plays the game. After him Id love to see Hunter win this forget about the Ryder Cup and Id even like to see Ricky win it.

I'm going for Hunter and Kaymer(fortunateness they play against each other today).

Before heading into work I stopped off at a SportsBook to get the Vegas Odds on todays matchups. Thought you guys might be interested . ( -symbol means favored. + symbol means dog. -140 means it takes 14 bucks to make 10. +140 means 10 makes 14)

Graeme Mcdowell -170
YE Yang +150 (he beat Tiger, sort of, he can take Mcdowell?)

Fowler -120 (Basically a coin flip but Fowler owned Lefty yesterday so I think that's why they made him the slight favored)
Kuchar EV

Kaymer -140
Mahan +120 (I like Mahan here getting 2 bucks more than even.)

Manassero +145
Luke Donald -165 (Vegas thinks its the end of the road for the 17 year old)

Ogilvy -140
Watson +120 (I like dogs getting more than even money. I also lose most of the time too :D )

i like bubba alot - him getting + money is a good bet. Id love to see Yang pull off the upset. My buddy is a huge Mickelson fan - i cant believe the beating he took by fowler.

I think Kucher & Mahan in the final, would be a great match up, but it will probably be GMac & Kaymer which is also good.

I want to see GMac take it all, but thinking it might be Manaserro. No one expected this kid to make it past the first round and here he is in the third. Donald is tough but young Matteo is riding a wave andI'm not sure it's crested yet

Looking forward to this one!!!

Me too, I would imagine that Las Vegas is much more interested in generating bets and therefore money, instead of really trying or caring who wins the match. I think all of the matches today will be very interesting, and there will be some upsets.

Ricky might be doing the same thing though. But Im pulling for Gmac.

I'm rooting for Manassero, just to throw a wrench into things.

There are some very intriguing matchups today, should be good golf to as most guys have to be playing well to get this far. GMac-Yang, i think Yang is a bit underrated so i think this will be a better match than people are expecting.

Kaymer-Mahan. Hunter was on fire with his iron's down the stretch yesterday, If he stays hot he'll be tough; and Kaymer is the machine, enough said. I think we'll see some unbelievable shots in this one.

Fowler-Kuchar. the old young gun v. the new young gun. If Fowler plays like he did yesterday, no one right now (except maybe g-mac or the machine) can beat him. Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't there some comparison's right now between a younger kuchar and fowler? Both all american, dominate college/amatuer golfers hyped to do well on tour who show flashes but never quite put it all together (at least until last year for the kuch)? Could add another storyline to this one.

The other matches are interesting to, but those are the three I'm looking forward to.

Ricky might be doing the same thing though. But Im pulling for Gmac.

Ricky looked unstoppable. Watching him yesterday, scared me.

Tap before talk.

looks like bubba is off to a great start. Would love to see Bubba and Fowler meet in the finals. I imagine that would make for an entertaining sunday.

It would, it looks like everyone is playing so good that just about any match up should be great.

Wow!!! did you see those opening hole approach shots by Fowler and Kucher? Awesome!!!!!!

From the PGA Tour, schedule changes for this weekend due to the bad weather threat on Sunday morning (http://tourreport.pgatour.com/2011/02/25/weather-forces-schedule-change/)

MARANA, Ariz. – Due to the threat of rain and snow at Dove Mountain on Sunday morning – yes, you read that right, snow – the schedule for the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship has been altered.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will now both be played on Saturday. The quarterfinals will begin at 7:10 a.m. MT (9:10 a.m. ET) with the semifinals set to start at 11:45 a.m. MT (1:45 p.m. ET).
The 18-hole championship match will be played on Sunday beginning at 12:15 p.m. MT (2:15 p.m. ET) with the consolation match starting 15 minutes earlier. Originally both the semifinals and championship were slated for Sunday.
Saturday TV coverage will now begin at 7 a.m. MT (9 a.m. ET) with NBC’s telecast beginning at noon MT (2 p.m. ET). Sunday’s NBC coverage of the finals and consolation matches will begin at noon MT (2 p.m. ET).
A strong low pressure system is slated to move through the area on Saturday bringing increasing clouds and winds in the 25-35 mph range with stronger gusts. Blowing dust will be likely during the semifinals.
Showers are in the forecast Saturday night and the temperature is expected to drop into the 30s overnight. The snow level will be down around 3,000 feet which means both rain and snow showers are possible at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club through midday on Sunday.
Winds on Sunday will be between 10-20 mph and the temperature isn’t expect to rise above 50 – which is about 20 degrees below Saturday’s expected high.

I was just doing some quick math on the remaining seeds in each bracket, the average seed left is:
Player: 5.5
Hogan: 6.25
Snead: 7.25
Jones: 9.5

Very nice to have golf on.
