2015 Wyndham Championship

Cool win for DLIII. Neat guy, always struck me as a classy winner, and loved his effort as captain of the Ryder Cup. Nice feather in the cap of a tremendous career to be the third oldest winner on Tour.

Good win for DL3. Absolutely never saw it coming but hey good for him.

Well done DL3 ! :clapp: Old guy still has a little pop in his hop :blob:

Is he no longer a Bridgestone staffer

I love this about golf. A 51 year old can go out and win a professional event. May have been a weak field, but to be able to even compete at 51 is pretty unique. So awesome to see DL3 grab a victory.

This is a shocking win for DL3, he hadn't won in 7 or 8 years and I can't recall seeing him I contention on a Sunday any time recently. You have to think it's his last, but who knows.

Lanny Wadkins was saying during the Sr. broadcast that DL3 owns that track and he wasn't surprised that he played well there this year.

Just saw this on Twitter...

Looks like Tiger moved the needle just by being in contention. The Tour would be healthier if they forced the big names to enter all tournaments (as JB has suggested) over a certain time period. Alternate field events would pose a problem, but scheduling could possibly accommodate that.

Give 'em hell!

Those numbers are unreal, definitely puts to bed the question if Tiger really moves the needle more than other stars. He absolutely does, and those numbers show it.

I borrowed this guy's quote from another non-golf site:

I was in the front for Tiger's tee shots at 5 and 16. Following him exclusively is just too much. I basically walked the course backwards and when I knew Tiger was coming up just set up a hole early. I tried to follow him but you can't see a damn thing.

It is crazy when he arrives though. The tee box will just be 1 deep and then like 20 tournament staff comes up yelling at everyone to put phones away and a crowd comes over the hill like an army in Lord of the Rings.
:act-up:

I remember first seeing TW on Sunday at the Pebble Beach ATT back in 1997 and there was definitely a dust cloud stampede following him around - it was hilarious.

Jordan just said during his interview he thinks the Wyndham is one of the most exciting tournaments to watch and he was tuning in every chance he got to watch Tiger. I thought that was interesting
