248 even. I'd give myself a solid B this week. You can't lose weight 2 weeks in a row until you've got the first week in the books so here we go!

Rock on, folks!

Down below 195 and 2 belt notches thinner. 13+ pounds lost so far. I’m sure the Super Bowl weekend will put a temporary stop to this trend, but I’m OK with that. Playing the long game here.

I've been struggling. I was so horrible during the holidays, then my wife got covid and we were on quarantine. I ate like garbage. Weight is a couple of pounds higher than I was before the holidays. I need to do better.

It happens to us all. You'll bring it back, I know you will.

I have been doing house remodel stuff for about a month. That plus stressful busy work has kept me from the gym. I am starting again asap.. I always feel way better.

Plus I was getting to where I was drinking 2 plus energy drinks a day. I am cutting that out completely..

Ok - Down 12.5 since the beginning of the year.
3 days of Cardio and 3 days of Weights & 15 minutes of Cardio seems to be working
Settling in with the Keto diet.
Many more to go.....

Not the best week last week. Thought I had a backslide, and probably did. Overall, though, lost 1 lb last week.

The new rowing machine (Nordictrack RW700) was delivered Saturday. Got it assembled and took it for it's maiden voyage for 24 minutes. Wow, what a workout that is. Could be the game changer I needed.

Been doing one meal a day fasting diet. Lost 15 pounds so far. I eat a lot of protein when I eat to help with hunger. It was tough for the first week, but now it’s just routine

Cracked a big barrier (180) for me the other day, now at 179. Down 22 lbs since early December. There’s no way I’m going to get to 161, damn those BMI charts. Maybe another 10, we’ll see. Had to buy new winter coat, sport coats, dress shirts/pants, and belts already.

Fell off the nutrition train a bit over the last week. Really starting to notice that I rarely have a strong day without a good breakfast. But mornings... ugh!

I can't function well at all without breakfast. My Wife rarely eats in the morning, but I simply can't do that. Even if it's just a bagel or english muffin, I have to have something.

Another 2.2 pounds. Down to 245.8.

Gotta keep pushing.

I have been backsliding because I cut back on my coffee consumption during the day. I was using that as an appetite suppressant. Regrouping now and getting back on track.

Getting on track has been such a struggle for me, a big reason for that is because since about early November I haven't had much sense of taste. It's not COVID, it's allergies, but it's making things difficult for eating well. I'm either just eating for a texture at this point, or I eat everything trying to chase the flavor I want, but can't taste.

My sense of taste isn't completely gone, just extremely diminished. Sweet and bitter are most distinct, but really only for the first few seconds it hits my mouth. This struggle is real!

I'm the same way with coffee. I can't quit it but have cut back to 2 cups in the morning and a cup or two at the office. My cup or two at the office used to be a full 20 oz. cup. Now, it's a traditional 8.

I have substituted green tea for now. I don’t get as obsessive with it like coffee. I have a very addictive personality and I have to keep myself in check.

Jumping in with you guys/gals!

Started quarantine around 200 and decided that since I was working from home that I had more of an opportunity to work out. Signed up for Beach Body On Demand and did great for 3 months and lost 15lbs without much change to the diet. Then I hurt my shoulder and was out of commission for a solid 5 months and ballooned up to 205. The wife and I decided that we needed to do something (she wants to lose weight as she's been lazy plus the stress of 2 young kids (7 months & 3) so we bought a rowing machine.

It's been 2 weeks and while I have lost 3lbs I feel stronger than I was before. The ultimate goal is to get back to 160. I know I can do it, it's just going to take a lot of dedication and patience. I'm hoping the rower plus the iFit membership will help drive me to success.

C'mon in! The more the merrier!

How are you liking the RW700? I picked up a Pro-Form Pro R10. Through my research they're both made by NordicTrack but they have a couple different features. Does the rotating screen make a big difference for you?

So far, I really like it. It's definitely one heck of a workout. I've never used a rower before, so this was eye-opening for me.

I have had one issue already, but it's relatively minor. We have the iFit subscription, and one of the options there is to just do a manual workout without one of their training videos. While doing one of those Monday night, I stopped to do some other stuff. When I came back to resume my workout, it suddenly wasn't tracking my distance rowed. Some online searching discovered this is a known issue, and a simple power cycle resets it. Annoying, but not a deal breaker by any means. Computers, you know.

Our screen adjusts up and down, and side to side. The up and down is handy, as I'm 6' and my Wife is just under 5'2". Our space is kind of small (enclosed porch on our walkout basement, so the side to side is less important. We do the off machine stuff on mats we have directly behind it.

It seems NordicTrack and ProForm are sister companies manufactured by the same parent company. I didn't know that. Are you liking the R10? Looks just like the RW600/700.

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully things will improve as the season changes - or is it an allergy to something else? Hang in there!

I agreed that when it starts to warm up if I am still having this issue I will go see a specialist. I am thinking ENT or allergies, but that is going to be a last resort. In the mean time, I will basically be going flavorless. It’s so weird though, because I can sometimes taste things, or get a faint taste, or taste as soon as it hits my tongue and then it’s gone. I can smell just fine though, that’s not an issue, it’s just my sense of taste.

For a foodie, that’s an awful thing. I hope it resolves soon.

started on a keto-ish food plan around the holidays and while it’s helped, i think perhaps the biggest change has been i quit drinking about a month ago (I’m a beer only guy). Certainly didn’t help my waistline, blood pressure, etc.... and definitely wasn’t doing anything positive for my home life... and that needed to change. My weight has dropped from an all time high of about 206 (before Christmas) to 184 as of today. I’m 5’ 9” so, while BMI is still tickling the overweight category, I’m a lot closer to where i should be. Hoping my next visit with the doc yields some additional positive results. Good luck to all in their weight loss challenge.... wishing you much success.

Do i miss a frosty one now and then?.... yeah...

Bizarre for sure. Maybe it will make it easier to not crave foods?🤷‍♂️
