Just finished the worst part of the day . . . getting all the meat off the carcass.

I think we are eating turkey ALL next week!

First thanksgiving where I tried to smoke a turkey. Came out pretty good, though I'm not sure it was completely done... (need to work on better temp checking skills)

We had two turkeys, the one on the left is baked (13 lbs) in the oven, the one on the right was smoked (14 lbs).

Time to sleep it all off and golf tomorrow!

The calm before the storm. Had time for 18 holes this morning with some buddies and a huge feast with the family in the afternoon. Pretty darn good thanksgiving. Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

Tried to get a picture of the whole (one of two) table, but failed. Roast beef, turkey, roasted root vegetables, homemade cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, squash, sweet potatoes.

Then, so much dessert. I think I'm still full this morning.

5 families - I swear we had twice this much in desserts. But I went for a walk and when I came back? Desserts had already been started. I'm blaming paladin for that.

A great great thread .. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays . Too bad I had to work , may post a picture of left overs that I will heat up. What about turkey gravy mixed with left over turkey meat ? Hmmmmmm
