THP Event this past weekend with Cure Putters and I know a lot of THPers have them in their hands now. Thought this would be a good thread to keep going as people put them in play.

I know some may be wondering because I was wondering myself. Yes, the RXi fits with a THP headcover

Really dig the red and blue. Rxi2 is just not in the budget right now.

Do you think we will see these on tour?

Do you think we will see these on tour?

They are already on some tours including Champions and LPGA. If I had to guess I would say it's only a matter of time before we see them on the PGA Tour

I will get some reviews on this soon, but I'll leave this picture here in the meantime. The look is growing on me big time.

Rolled my RX1 today. Overall my distance control/speed with it is the best I have had in awhile. Not sure I want to mess with the weight setup but I will probably tinker a little.

The rx2 or rx2 tour is my ponder.

Phil is right here, as they do already have use on tour. If its directed specifically to the PGA Tour, then I would say yes, they will, but it will take time as they are small and dont have enough people to be out on every tour each week right now. Focusing on where demand is, is a target that I think all of the small companies start with.
I believe one of their Champions Tour guys has 3 top 10s this year too.

I gotta say that the coverage this week really opened my eyes to these putters. At first glance a while ago I quickly dismissed them. Then, during the event I went back and reread what was out there and must also say that the pics presented in the event thread started a ponder.

I might be looking for a RX1 to try out. Looking forward to seeing how everyone progresses with these.

So Cure putters, huh? There isn't enough good things to say about Jeff and John that we met this weekend. Truly great guys who believe wholeheartedly they have a useful and helpful product that could help a lot of people, and it shows in their work. That passion is no doubt set out throughout the entire company from what it seems.

As for the putters themselves, I'll talk about the specific model I went with - the RX2 tour. I also believe I was the only one that ended up with the RX2 tour, at least at the event itself:

Initial thoughts on the product aren't much different than what people thought when you initially saw them online. They are big. Some of them really big. But I found a good match visually for me in the RX2 tour, which sits right about 5.5" for the face length. This is the information as to product specs for their putters off the cure website.

The RX2 tour that I went with comes in either straight shaft or offset shaft, and after looking at and trying both, I decided to go with the straight shaft since it looked a little better at address for me. The weight on the RX2 tour as you can see from the chart above can be set between 364 with absolutely nothing on it but the screws, all the way up to 575 with the additional weight kit - which based on the chart below, shows that is accomplished with 3 of the stainless steel weights on it. The sound is definitely different compared to "normal" putters, but you get over it pretty quickly (or at least I did). I also noticed as you add/drop certain weights, it seems to adjust the way it sounds slightly. But the RX3F and RXi in certain combos definitely had the least noticeable sound to them. Dan had the RXi and Mike in our group on Saturday was using the RX3F, and I honestly couldn't hear any type of sound coming from either. So if the sound is a big turn off for you, I'd look at those two.

For putt putt, I ended up putting a combo of 1 1/8" aluminum weight, and 2 1/4" aluminum weights (1 black and 1 blue) which ended up putting the weight at 424g. This isn't a combo that can be accomplished with the weights that typically come with the putter, but I ended up trying it out with some of the extra weights they had there. Plus the blue makes it look cool haha. Here are some pictures of that combo:

It ended up working so well for me the night of Putt Putt that I literally asked John if they would trade my Odyssey for it...which he unfortunately said no. Little did I know I'd be walking away with it the very next morning though! I made sure I got it for our Saturday round and I'm glad I did. I rolled it pretty well and had a couple 15-20 footers drop for me.

The technology of the high MOI definitely seems to work, and these putters have it in a package that although looks odd, inspires a lot of confidence, and I honestly stepped up to every putt thinking that it had a chance. They might not be for everyone, but I definitely would say that everyone should at least give them a shot. If I hadn't won one on Saturday, I probably would have bought one...I believe in it that much, at least for myself.

That's all for now though, but I'll continue to update as I get more time on course with it.

I think that's what Cure intended for with this event. They have a great product that just needs put in people's hands. They are branding similar to how Wilson Staff was able to rebrand with #PersonalDistance last year

That is exactly right. These guys were all in on the products they had in their hands. Got to talk to th Cure guys a little after putt putt friday, and not once did he say you need this or you have to have it. They gave me so much information about all there putters, that I was just baffled. No doubt these guys support everything about this brand and believe that it can work for many

Big thanks to JB and the THP crew for putting together such a great event, and a Big thanks to all the guys who came out to spend some time with us in Ohio! We had a great time with you all and appreciate your interest and participation through the event. Great group of guys and a lot of fun! We're excited to hear the updates as you all get more time with your new Cure Putters. As always we are here to answer any questions you have, so don't hesitate to ask!

We have a lot of pictures from the event and will be posting soon, so stay tuned...

Thanks again!

Looking forward to seeing those pics

Nice updates. Was there any discussions about the effect of where /how the weights are placed? Different effect if 1/4" are in front or back or mixed in between the 1/8"

Thanks to both of you again!

Can't wait to see the headshots before everyone headed to the range in their Cure hats!

I kinda messed around a little with them like that and didn't really find anything different.

Tinkered with the weights again last night to try it at a lower weight, and ended up with just the 1/4" aluminum at 388. Putter felt good being lighter and it also made it sound quieter, or at least it seemed that way. Love love love being able to tinker with the set up and how easy it is to change the weights.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this setup.

I love it too. Saturday morning on the course Jeff changed it from one aluminum and one stainless which is 393g to two stainless which is 410g and also the heaviest weight the RXi can get. I really like being able to change the weighting around too so I think I'm gonna try going back n forth with the different weights after each round just to see which is more consistent. Set up at 410g I felt the long putts weren't as hard to judge speed as the short putts but that could also just be the fact that it was my first round with the Cure

I actually sent heavier on the RX3f, I put both 1/4" on it, I'll see what I think on the practice green today.

Jeff said go up in weight until the point I felt like it was a bit too much, then go putt for like 5 mintues and see if it still feels like too much, then back it down a notch and do the same thing until it feels/performs right!
