Putter abuse should be punished by public flogging.I don't mind dings on my golf clubs because I keep them rather than trade them in.
I rarely replace a headcover on my woods once I take it off on the course. The bag room finds it in a pocket and puts it back on.
If my putter comes with a headcover, it never gets used in the first place. I think that they're all in a green plastic tub.
This behavior was rather commonplace, or at least much more so, years ago. Most younger people treat their clubs like jewelry now.
That's not necessarily a bad thing. I just never got in that habit. My old clubs look well used.

Maybe treating your putter like **** is why it treats you the same?I find it impossible to abuse a putter more than it abuses me.
I've had a deep inner hatred for putters for roughly sixty years.
No covers for me. No matter what the putter cost.
My current Tad Moore Chicopee is a replica of a circa 1930 Spalding putter.
I doubt that the originals were ever covered.

I mean, if I was the moneymaker of the bag and got beaten and battered, I wouldn’t make anything for the SOB using me either.I suppose it's a thought, Jman.
