The best debate of all time. Not religion, not politics. Strat vs Paul. You have both stances covered.

My strat is here tomorrow morning!!! Cant wait, and you're right, between the paul, strat and tele too, I have all the bases covered haha

The correct answer is a telecaster with a coil-tapped humbucker in the bridge.

my telecaster cheats, they have an S-1 switching system that toggles between both pickups in parallel or in series, so in one mode they are single coil, and then when the switch is engaged, they are "wired" as a hum bucker and the guitar sounds so awesome in this mode, then I have the normal single coil sounds and positions.

Personally I have never been a Tele fan, I just don't like the way they feel. With that said, I understand how they should be entered into the debate. A coil tapped HB on anything is a positive, especially if you play through a high gain amp.

I don't currently own any fenders or Gibson's, I've had my share over the years, but I have gravitated to something that is light, sits well, sounds awesome, and plays like butta.

Has anyone tried Chapman guitars? I've seen some buzz for them on the Internet (and Rob Chapman's YouTube channel is very entertaining) as being a great value. There's a good chance I'll get an electric guitar rig for Christmas and the ML-3 has looked like a great alternative to a Fender Telecaster.

Oh man they look good, I like the ML-1 Hot Rod a lot and the ML-3 looks fun.

I have not tried one, but they have that Charvel vibe to them which is always good.

I came across one of these recently at a Guitar Center http://www.cmgguitars.com/index.html I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and playability. I played it during my sons entire drum lesson and didn't want to put it down. It was used for $500. I went home to research the company and thought $500 was reasonable for an American made guitar. I went back the next day to get it and it was gone. There was a nice PRS Grissom in it's place though..........

My first Strat is amazing

Looks like more than a hobby to me:act-up:. Boss ge7, one of my favorite all time effects. Really shapes the sound in an effects loop.

For being a hobbiist, you sure have a lot of fantastic guitars, I love that traditional on the left.

Haha I'm going to add either a LP standard with a 60s neck or a PRS Tremonti signature.

I also have a 1939 gibson j-35 acoustic that's stashed away for special occasions. It was my grandfathers and passed down to me. You don't want to know the value but to me it's priceless!

I enjoy playing for stress relief and relaxation. I'm nowhere near good enough to play out in a band. 100% self taught. The traditional was a gift to myself for hitting a sales quota one year. Nice bonus and with a little help from winning fantasy football I was able to splurge.

I have to Traditionals, they are my favorite Gibsons in their modern line.

What year is yours?

I have a 2010 and a 2013, the 2013 is my favorite.

It's boner time! Good god those are gorgeous!

My trad is 2011.

I'm not a fan of the changes they made in 2015 but this year they went back to what we purists love. My next one will probably be a 2016 or newer standard. I love the thick neck on the traditional but I crave something a little faster for my next toy.
