Spent some time with the 6STR tonight and now in full contemplation mode...

Two weeks ago I got a pristine 34" Scotty Studio Select Newport 2 for $209 (after a $20 first time discount) from 2nd Swing (picture a couple posts above).

My wife threatened to steal mine after trying it so we found the exact same putter in great shape (with a red dancing Scotty grip and Lucky head cover) on Ebay Sunday morning for $195. It arrived today and she will be gaming it tomorrow. A happy wife is a happy life.

I rolled that on today and really liked it, as well.

I thought I’d share a few from my stable. I also roll a Cameron & Crown 5MB OTR. Love em!

Rolled these yesterday at the PGA and all and all felt pretty good. I just couldn't make anything with 'em so my $450 was safe for the day. :D

Not everyone rolls blades as well as you Big Time haha. When are you pulling the trigger on the ER?

Purchased this one but haven’t used it yet. Does feel good in hand and love how it frames a ball. Almost went with the 8. Just this one really caught me eye.

I just grabbed a "SC" Bullseye from 2nd swing for $14.99. Og grip as well factory 33".

I just noticed it's a "Lafemme" model SC, which I guess is why it's 33". I'll pull that grip and flip it those grips are pretty sought after for some reason.

Scotty 5.5m is going in the bag for tomorrow as the Odyssey’s are boxed up headed back to Texas for repairs.

Can someone school me on this Scotty? It was given to me along with some other clubs. There is a sticker on the shaft that reads "To protect the gun blue finish, dry off with a soft cloth after each use. Apply a light coat of baby oil to provide a protective seal.

What would be the best way to address the surface rust?

Thanks in advance.

Very fine steel wool should get the rust off. But the finish isn't going to look anything like new once you remove it.

BUT - BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING... .We need to do a little research. Do you know who VG is? The yellow and red dots suggest it is an old "made for the tour" model. Though they very well could be after market work. The stamps look far too shallow and appear to be the wrong font to have come out of Scotty's studio, but it's worth confirming you don't have something special before you take any sort of abrasive to the putter

The best putters he ever did, imo.

Tried a Select Fastback at Austads and loved it. My buddy let me borrow his Futura 6M with the 50 gram weight in the grip. I seemed to putt well with it for 9 today but it's beyond ugly!
