JM I didn't take it as it was about money but her quality of life isn't what it should be. You are making sure she isn't in pain.
O.K. thanks, I went back and read it and thought I sounded like a greedy fool.......

Thanks,
I want to make something clear. We are animal people. I had made mention of the chemo drugs and then a phone call came in and I sort of lost my train of thought. We lovingly and gladly would continue to pay for whatever would be needed to help keep her alive as long as her quality of life is maintained. We believe with every fiber of our being that when one takes on the responsibility of owning a pet, that the animal is now your responsibility for the entirety of their life. She has become a member of our family and we lover her and will miss her dearly, but would never want to prolong her life for selfish emotional reasons. I just didn't want anyone to think I was griping about money..........
Hell, maybe it wasn't a confusing statement afterall....

My heart hurts right now. My daughter's dog Dixie in the picture below is going to have to be put down. She has had this dog since 1st grade and just graduated from H.S. last month. Dixie is one of the smartest dogs I have ever seen and in her prime, could catch a Frisbee no matter how far you threw it. She has had Cushings disease for almost 3 years now. The Chemo drugs alone are about $400 every 8 weeks, but she is about to go into kidney failure and her quality of life is deteriorating quickly. Bless her heart, Dixie shakes like a leaf when its time to go to the vet for her check-ups, and our doc has graciously agreed to come to the house so her last moments are not being scared. We will be talking to our daughter tonight after she gets home from work. I AM SO SAD............ Really, really, really love this dog.
