What are you building? (Club style)

Finalizing the specs on a reshaft of my new ZX5/ZX7 combo irons. Not really loving the Modus125 shafts that I ordered them with, so will be going back to DG120 X100s.

Need to order some ferrules and grips. Thinking BB&F ferrules (never tried them before but look cool), and some Tour Velvet grips. Usually play Z-Grips but like the idea of a slightly softer grip. My only concern will be traction, so I'll probably build one before gripping the rest.

Well I guess we will stop here:

As I sit here working on my gear, I'm sure other THPers are doing the same (or often work on clubs).

So I ask, what are you building today? I'm reshafting some J40 DPCs with DG S300 shafts.
Checking and tweaking swing weight of my wedge set before first round of golf of 2021 on Monday!

Pulling the heads on My Hogan Combo set....taking the 780 SW out and going with Recoil 110's , adding KBS wedge shafts to the Equalizer Wedges too

Just ordered some BB&F for my upcoming build. I have Srixon Z765 heads and Modus 105 shafts arriving this week.

Z765 will go head to head (literally) with the incumbent MP54 this weekend to see which one gets used in the build next week.

Tomorrow I am pulling a set of Recoil Proto shafts out of JPX921 Hot Metal Pros and putting those shafts in a set of DCBs.
Right @JDax

Yeah that’s correct... 😎

Did you quench the heads in oil when they were pulled out of just let them air cool?

No quench, I wanted to air cool them. Was not in the mood to fool around with a quench. They cooled of pretty quick in ambient air... after about 45 minutes they were quite comfortable to handle.

Got this to help me dial in swing weights...

They (bb&f) don't have much of a selection in stock right now unfortunately.

Building a ST200 9.5* driver with a white tie shaft.
Just waiting for the ferule

Oh, oh, does that mean the relationship with the XXIOs is in jeopardy?

Ah good to know! Any other recommendations? Only ever ordered the basic black ferrules from Golfworks, so figured I'd try something a bit more fun this time around.

Beautiful!

@McLovin , tell me the black (but not really) Modus 115 wouldn't look great on heads like that since there's some burnt copper color that comes through on them.

sorry, it's hard to type with one hand. those are too sessy!

yeah, the modus 115 would look incredible in those heads.

I was browsing at BB&F and appears that they have all of their Standards in stock. It's more of their "Fresh Designs" that are limited / sold out. There are lots of good standards to choose from.

Some very nice ones indeed. I just went with Mr. Peacock III. Most of the fresh designs weren't my cup of tea anyway.
