Definitely don't love having to rebuild $200+ custom wedges the day they arrive to put playable shafts in them, but when you have a round in the morning...

Thanks! I could have made it shorter as I still hit the joists above me if I'm not in the perfect spot in the basement. Now that the weather is improving a bit, snow in the forecast tomorrow, I will be using it more outside.I like it John!! Much more elegant than mine!!

Those are two standard swing warm up donuts. I've had them for years and no idea how much they weigh or what the total weight of the club is. I made it so the weights can be removed. I'll see if my grain scale will handle it and report back.
Exactly, they are riding on a circular piece of wood which I just happened to have a hole saw the same size as their inner diameter. Held in place with a section of 3/8 treaded rod, fender washer and wing nut. On the top there is a 3/8 nut, washer and a washer type piece which used to hold a brush saw blade in place.Looks like two driver donuts to me.
Should be a fun experiment. I do think the torching needs to be directed heat to control the coloring. This is the heat treating furnace at work. I want to use it to “torch” some stuff. Color should be very controlled I would think. Right now it’s running at 525°F, which is a lovely bronzed purple. Where to start?
