Only rolled it a few times inside but there is a different "feel" for sure. A softer more pure sound to me.

Haven't started it yet but everything is ordered and payed for. Putting some Miyazaki 95 Wedge Shafts in my 50, 54, 58 degree wedges. End product will be Callaway forged copper wedge heads, Royal blue ferrules, Miyazaki 95 black shafts and either NDMC MCC+4 or GP Niions for grips. Cant wait to do this!

I have a set of Tour Edge Trilogy fairway woods which need some TLC. This will be my initial foray into working on fairways, so I went on the cheaper side in case I royally make a mess of it.

I bought a pair of Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue 65 shafts (uncut 46").

For the 4 wood, tip trim 0.75"* and cut the shaft down to 42.5" total length.
For the 7 wood, tip trim 1.0" and cut the shaft down to 41" total length.

*DiamondTourGolf recommends tipping the 3W 0.5" and the 5W 1", so I'm going to split the difference with the 4W.

I recently got fitted for new iron shafts (kbs tour 90 stiffs), so my father and I just got done rebuilding my irons. Saved the Orange multicompound grips as they were brand new, took the old shafts out, cleaned up the heads (mizuno mx-25s), and installed the new spine aligned shafts in the 4-gw. Time consuming but great! I also had my local golfsmith adjust the lies for me.

Buddy had a bunker rage incident a while back with his RBladez wedge. Since the shafts are pretty similar I offered to fix it with one of my old Speedblade shafts. Set up for curing and just awaiting ferrule turn down and a grip.

Think I may start a new project tonight.

PXi 5.5's into a set of Nike VRS forged heads.

Question for your club building gurus. I've been playing my pro mini and pro dhy all season with wildly different results. Killing the pro mini, hitting the dhy terribly. I've got an 85g shaft in the mini and a 105g shaft in the dhy. What does that do to my swing weight, if anything? Would adding lead tape to the head help? Stock SW on both says D2.

It increases swing weight, so no I don't think adding even more weight will help.

I'd say best bet is find another 85g shaft that you like to swap in.

Just a little experiment.

Reshafted my wedges between yesterday and today. First time I have re shafted with graphite. Really happy with the way they turned out. And loving The blue ferrules. Now I need a puller so I can switch the ferrules in all my clubs.

I think those UST putter shafts are very very good. Have shafted many T.P.Mills, Mizuno /Mills, Pings with them and its amazing how good they feel after the reshaft. Thats a nice putter you have there.

I am currently contemplating trying to find a nice set of used forge heads like j40 and messing with a few different shaft options. I was fit for DG x100 pros but i really want to see the feel of either some project x 6.5 or c-tapers.

I agree I would do it if I had a shaft puller. But won't ever again I destroyed a 73g white board shaft. OOOPS

Whatcha pondering buddy?

Only thing I won't touch is graphite. no no no.

Yep definitely need a shaft puller. Check out the can crusher diy or look into one of those bottle Jack ones. A must have I think.

Today's project is to install kbs tour black nickel shafts and golf pride z cord grips on J15 mbs

So sexy. You should throw the Pure DTX grips in red on those.

Pure grips? No thank you lol. I really enjoy these corded grips and lamkin crossline cords. I'm actually thinking of stripping all the paintfill from the heads. That's the way I have the J15 wedges and I really like the raw look

Those look like lethal weapons. That's awesome.
