Whats for Breakfast/Lunch?

Rotisserie chicken from Sam's.

Beef quesadillas.

Don't feel like going out in the cold, so scavenging for lunch at work today...found a doughnut and some macaroni salad so far.

Breakfast shake: almond milk, ice, strawberries, banana, and a touch of honey.

Lunchtime here, so couple of ham and coleslaw sandwiches, crisps and a toffee crisp bar

I just sent my wife a text insisting I needed a Chik-fil-a chicken biscuit right now. We'll see what happens.

It would be such a waste, but I would like to order one each from Chick-fil-a and Hardees and put the Chik-fil-a chicken on the Hardees biscuit. I bet that would be good.

During the work week, usually low-fat yogurt and a granola bar. Weekends I love me some egg white omelet w/shallots, mushrooms, and low fat cheddar or a bagel egg/cheese sandwich.

Just coffee for now. ..

I decided to try that Boss sandwich from Subway. I like sammiches, I like pastrami, I like horseradish sauces.

Its not great. Don't get me wrong, I'll finish it, but its lacking. Maybe with some mustard and italian dressing like the Steamer from Firehouse, but as it is, I probably wouldn't try it again. I suppose I'll resume my "Not going to Subway because Firehouse and Jimmy Johns are better" boycott.

Couple takeaway thoughts:

Subway expectations are always basement-level low. If I ever go there, it's a standard sandwich (e.g., subway club). I need get their "new" stuff, because it is always underwhelming to me.

Also, I don't think I could ever order a sandwich called the "steamer."

It's delicious. Firehouse is the top dog in the sandwich world IMO

QFT.

I just didn't feel like making PB&J today and Subway is just about right next door. The closest Firehouse is too far away to go to during my short lunch break once you figure in traffic and such.

Went with lots of bacon and 2 fried eggs today along with 1/2 an avocado.

Lean Gourmet 3 cheese chicken
Yoplait Light strawberry yogurt
Cup of peaches

Turkey sandwich, chips, and banana.

I'm in the same boat haha - - Just don't have the interest in getting up and getting it made.

Dan (or anyone else), here is a suggested way to go. I started doing this about a year ago and now my wife likes it as well. We make a primal breakfast dish that will last 4 to 5 days. It's really easy and tastes great!
In a big mixing bowl, mix up 8 eggs, a bag of the frozen Jimmy Dean fully cooked turkey sausage crumbles (9.6 oz.), 1/4 cup of your favorite rated cheese (top quality real cheese - not processed), and 1 chopped and grilled onion. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with olive oil non-stick spray and pour the mix above into it. We also add some basil, oregano, salt and pepper, and another 1/4 cup of the grated cheese on the top just before putting it in the oven to bake. Of course you can put more things in the mix if you want. We sometimes put chopped green and red pepper, spinach or kale leaves, dash of red pepper or cayanne pepper.
Bake it in the oven on 350 for about 25 to 30 minutes. You can tell when it's done by looking at it. For me I look at the center of the mix, if it's wet looking and a little sunken its not ready. Also, the outside edges if you can see them through a clear glass dish, will have a light brown crispy look to them.

Anyway, when its done, serve yourself a 4x4 square with some coffee and OJ. You be good for about 3 to 4 hours and get yourself started with a great protein rich breakfast. Best of all, just cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. It's a quick and easy breakfast for you for the next 3 or 4 days.

Just about to rock two shredded beef enchiladas topped with two fried eggs. Yum!

Five dollar foot longs!
