Where is your THP Mecca?

THP has been making golfer's dreams come true now for several years, so what is the one place to you that is the "ultimate THP" location?

I'd be lying if I said that the Mizuno Experience didn't jog my brain on this one due to where it is taking place. Having been around here for almost a decade, True Blue and Caledonia to me just ooze THP history since they have hosted so many events over the years and especially the unbelievable Morgan Cups that took place there with so many OEMs simultaneously sponsoring teams at one event. Though I haven't personally been there, just a quick read through the Mizuno Experience pages make it clear that those courses are near and dear to so many people's hearts. Of course, you also have the Hideaway, which also hosts an incredible event in its own right as well as so many other locales. So, what is your ultimate THP location?

Hideaway is the obvious choice, but it is more like a dream to me that doesn’t seem real.

Coeur d’ Alene definitely has a special place in my heart and mind. I met so many people there that I now consider friends and loved the course and town. It was so different from Arizona that it really sticks out in my mind.

Hideaway for sure, but I do love True Blue and Caledonia. Been to a couple of events there and played few times on my own when I've made it to MB.

The Hideaway but I probably never get another chance to set foot on its hollowed grounds again...
But I have a soft spot for Hammock Beach, played it at the 2020 Ben Hogan/UST Mamiya Experience and fell in love with the Conservatory & Ocean Courses. I think it also helped that my team won the event.

As an outside observer who has been here for 4.5 years now I would say The Hideaway is probably the place that would end up atop the rankings if there was a poll. Hammock Beach and TB/Caledonia would probably be 2A and 2B just based on my observations.

hideaway is #1, has to be. True Blue/Caledonia and Hammock Beach are the others for me. I have only been to Hammock, but the other two are on the top of the dream list

Unfortunately, I cannot answer the question. I have not had the privilege of attending a THP Experience. And to answer the question posed, I believe that I would need to witness these places in person before I could form a personal opinion as to the best. I hope one day that I can answer the question as to what is my ultimate THP location.

TB&C for me. The Hideaway is awesome and it will be a treat to step foot on that property as a participant one day, but I’m a bit sentimental with courses. That one has so much history, it’s truly hard to top what awesome memories have come on that piece of property.

Never been to any of them, but just from following the THP events on the forums (combined with my love for desert golf), the Hideaway would get my vote. It looks like an amazing place.

It’s tough, but it’s The Hideaway. TB&C is close, but nothing can top The Hideaway for me.

Yep The Hideaway is definitely #1.

But I'd love to get out to Haig Point. The Morgan Cup there was my first real THP event follow. So many great views on that course, and the picture of @Canadan and @jdtox walking down the fairway still sticks in my mind.

I can agree 100% with this sentiment. I also want to mention that there just aren’t THP experiences that are NOT great. They all take place at courses that are amongst the nicest we will ever play. We generally get an inside look at something within the golf industry.

Food porn. That deserves its own paragraph as a recovering fat boy. The food is always fantastic.

THP events bring it. I haven’t signed up for any lately due to some personal issues (such as not playing golf?) but I’m getting where I need to be. Once I’m there I’ll post more about it.

I'm certain my answer at the end of the year will be TPC Las Vegas. Right now, Hideaway seems like a great place to go (though, if @JB and company ever had an experience at Augusta.... I'm certain all of us would give quite a bit to get to participate in that)!
