Who was your favorite pro athlete when you were a child?

Brett Hull was my favorite player, slightly more obscure would be Eric Desjardins

Steve Yzerman with the Detroit Red Wings....quiet and led by example on and off the ice.

Cal Ripken Jr. was really into baseball as a kid and Ripken was the man on the Orioles.

Bart Starr

Willy Mays

soccer ronaldinho GIF
Ronaldinho was my hero!

Started with Larry Csonka, then Bernie Parent, and Julius Irving.

Baseball: Omar Vizquel, Kenny Lofton and Griffey
Soccer: David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Brazilian Ronaldo

Bobby Layne
Nate Thurmond

Love seeing these names rise again from the ashes…

Ronnie Lott. Loved him.

Next favorite was Will “the Thrill” Clark. Best looking swing in baseball.

dang, what a highlight reel.

Im biased because I used to swing with low hands like that haha

Kobe Bryant
Not sure on any obscure players…

Tony Dorsett. I can still hear Cosell calling his name.

Fernando Valenzuela was my favorite ballplayer.

Don't like the Cowboys or the Dodgers any more though. Lol

The Kid and Edgar Martinez.

More obscure, probably John Olerud or a 90's 49er. JJ Stokes, Merton Hanks, and Ken Norton Jr come to mind.

When I was in high school I used to deliver pizza to Merton hanks once a week. His neck is as long as you would think it is. Great tipper. Gave me $40 on a $20 order everytime.

I still see JJ stokes a couple times a week at the gym too. He’s as giant as you think he is. Like 6’4” and jacked as all get up.

Walter Payton - as a grown man I cried at the press conference when he talked about his prognosis

Obscure (or not) - Bill Buckner. I loved how he played for the Cubs given his horrible knees

Bart Starr
Don Drysdale
Pete Rose
Brooks Robinson
Dick Butkus

Whoever was the LA Rams starting quarterback... first superbowl, Vince Ferragamo was a god :ROFLMAO:
