At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. Who is ready to test Edison Wedges?
Earlier this month, we featured Edison Wedges and their founder Terry Koehler in a Brand Story. Where Edison came from, where they are going and everything in between. If you missed that article you can find it here.
We are looking for FIVE THPers that want to test Edison wedges and review them for the forum. Each tester selected will go through the online WedgeFit system and then have a personal call with Terry Koehler. From there you will receive TWO Edison wedges for the purpose of reviewing and reporting your feedback on our forum. At the conclusion of the testing, both Edison wedges are yours to keep.
Criteria
We will select a group of FIVE THPers to test the Edison Wedges.
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
You will be reviewing the Edison Wedges for a period of 60 days.
How to Signup
Answer these two questions in the comments below. Tell us which wedges you currently play and include the lofts that are in your bag.
Are you able to review and answer questions daily or close on THP?
We will announce the testers later this week. If you are not selected and want to pick up a new Edison Wedge, check out their website here.
How awesome, another great opportunity!
I have stock Launcher XL HALO PW and DW, then TM MG2 54, TM Big Toe 58 and Callaway MD5 JAWS 64
Of course I try to be on THP as much as I can!
Been eyeing these wedges since I read the article you guys posted! I play 44 degree Cobra Forged Tec pitching wedge, a 52 degree Harry Taylor dimple wide sole wedge, and a 60 degree Cleveland RTX zipcore.
Been having some gapping issues and would love to give these wedges a go!
Oh heck yes! I decided to try out the Kirkland wedges (52 / 56 / 60) and have been playing them since spring 2021 and they have been used a lot. I mainly use the 52 and 56. The 60 rarely makes it into my bag. I would just open the 56 if I needed a 60. I’ve recently been researching some wedge brands to get for next season and have been looking at the Callaway, Cleveland and Maltby. I would love to test out the Edison wedges and September through beginning of November is the perfect time of year for wedges here in Northeast-Mid Atlantic area. I play at least twice/week and regularly visit the site several times daily. I also practice short game at least once/week at the chipping green practice area.
I currently play Sub 70 JB wedges in 50, 54, and 58. I can definitely log in, comment and interact daily. Would love to try a set and provide feedback.
Currently, I have a 4 wedge setup. I roll with a ping i500 p-wedge at 47* of loft, then have 3 cleveland rtx zipcore wedges at 52,56, and 60. I am new to the THP forum, but have been active on other golf forums before. Would love the opportunity to test these out!
Current setup:
– 919Forged GW 50*
– Vokey SM8 54.14F
– TM Hi-Toe Raw 58.07
Yes, I’d be able to test and respond to questions daily.
I am currently playing bombtech wedges because they were cheap and I haven’t pulled the trigger on something new.
Checking in daily wouldn’t be an issue, my work schedule is flexible.
I would be looking at 54/58. I just like my gap wedge (that is part of the set).
I am getting pretty ok with my mizuno T22 wedges – so on the one hand I did not want to try these – but read more about them and I am intrigued, I hit the ball fat and for that matter thin (more fat than thin – maybe like meo_O:)?). If these take that out awesome. I do seldom take full cuts with these wedges though – I don’t mean to say I don’t hit them, I do, it’s just maybe around 60-75% tops, really think grass – like a strong sand shot, or longish need to stop short over a hazard kind of thing – those are the harder swings. From most sand or around the greens not as much.
As to being here daily – seldom am I not!
And, I am trying to play at least 1 to 2 rounds a week plus a range session when the rain stops:p.
Good luck to all, and as always thanks THP and Edison.
I seriously considered Edison wedges early in the season. I was virtually fitted, but ultimately never made the investment, and I’ve regretted it. But as much as I’d love to be a tester, an upcoming surgery will keep me off the course for a while. I do look forward to hearing the feedback from others, however.
I love my 60° (8° bounce) and 56° (12° bounce) wedge. I live on the course and chip a lot in the evenings. I can test almost daily and I can respond almost daily. I’m happy to put the wedges through the ringer. I also stand in the wrong side of the ball.
Last day to signup.
Good luck to those that enter. Being privileged enough to test a different wedge this year has been an awesome experience. I look forward to seeing what comes of these.
I currently play a vokey sm5 50 degree,
Nike vapor fly 54 degree sand wedge, and finally a Cleveland 60 degree.I have no issues with checking the forum for questions and to give my feedback on the wedges. I hope you hear from you guys!
Thanks for the opportunity to test some spectacular looking wedges featuring a tech story perfectly fit to us hackers. I am currently needing to refresh my specialty wedges and from all I’m reading Edison deserves a solid look too.
My PW(43) and GW(48) are still pretty new Titleist T200 set wedges and not in need of a refresh yet. Both are graphite shafted (Recoil 80 F3).
My current SW and LW are in bad need of refreshing however. Both are well worn with all the practice and play they see. My SW is a 1st gen Cleveland RTX Zipcore(52 bent to 53) stock steel TT DG Spinner shaft. My LW is a Cleveland CBX Full Face(58) stock steel TT DG 115.
I’m typically on THP several times every day and would be available answer questions.
Tour edge wedges are currently in my bag. Older hand me downs. Loft are 56 and 60. I would be able to provide feedback daily, I live on the local golf course.
I currently carry the new Mizuno t22 wedges in 50, 54, and 58 degree lifts. I will be able to answer questions everyday. I am a college golfer and play everyday so I will get a true test of them.
One thing that I thought was interesting on the website is that they only manufacture odd numbered lofts and then bend them for the even lofts
Is this a thing with other manufacturers? Or are Edison the only company that do this?

I feel like when Cobra came back out with the trusty rusty’s 8-9 years ago they did their wegde lofts in only odd numbers. They’ve changed since then, but I always thought it was interesting.

I think it was something I noticed more as my current lofts are all even numbers, so I would end up with odd numbered lofts in the bag that play 1 degree different to what would be stamped on them (from what I could tell)
Previously, when getting new wedges I have always had the loft on them that I wanted
I play a 52 degree and a 60 degree and would love to be one of the testers and answer their daily questions on the clubs
I currently play Callaway MD5 54s and 58x
I will review them properly and answer questions.
I am due for new grooves and my preferred brand only has raw faces ? available this release. I like the back story of Terry and his previous designs have been really good.
I currently play a 52* Cobra MiM wedge that I am looking to replace soon as it is showing groove wear. I also have a 56* Cleveland CBX Zipcore that has performed really well for me and it replace the Cobra MiM 56*. I am also thinking of adding a 48* into the mix since I just do not get along well with my gap wedge in my Cobra Speedzone set of irons.
Yes, absolutely available to check in, review and answer questions on THP!
I am currently playing Hogan Equalizers 50 and 56. I typically am on THP daily or almost daily.
This is a great opportunity – good luck to all the entrants. I look forward to following along!
I play a 50* Cleveland RTX-3 CB, 54* Cleveland RTX-3 MB, AND 58* Cleveland Zipcore.
Definitely able to review and provide feedback.
Callaway JAWS MD5. I have been researching the Edison wedges for a month. I play a 50, 54, and 58. Looking at 51, 55, 59.
Testers will be announced later today.
Also thought I would mention, I generally am playing or at the practicing 5-6 days a week.
I am definitely willing and able to check in and provide insight and feedback on the Edison wedges if selected. I currently play Mizuno JPX 921 HM gap wedge 49 degree, Cleveland CBX2 54/12, and Ping Glide 3.0 SS 58/10. I also have a Cleveland CBX2 50/11 (with the V sole), which is a little more versatile, but I prefer the matching Mizuno set gap wedge for full shots so the CBX2 50 is not in the bag.
I think the Edison wedges are really intriguing, particularly the CG, sole, and bounce design. I prefer wedges that are designed to be a little more forgiving (hence why I play the CBX2 and Ping Glide) as opposed to a specialist wedge with a blade design like a Vokey and other premium offerings from TM, Callaway, etc. and all the boutique wedge companies. I gravitated towards the CBX2 wedges because they made things somewhat simple with the 3 different sole grinds (V-shaped for 50 and 52 degree, S-shaped for 54 and 56 degree, and C-shaped for 58 and 60 degree, with 9, 12, and 11 degrees of bounce respectively). While the CBX2s might not be for everyone, I appreciate that the limited options for grind and bounce of the CBX2s remove the dizzying amount of options that can lead to “analysis paralysis” when it comes to shopping for typical high-end blade wedges. And, at the same time, the 3 different sole grinds of the CBX2s are a definite improvement over the single sole grind option (V-shaped) that comes on all of the original CBX wedges. Anyway, the lack of options for sole and bounce with the Edison wedges is definitely intriguing; I’m definitely curious if the design provides the amount of versatility that’s offered in other brands’ wedges.
