With professional wins across the globe, Nike Method technology delivers putting confidence. Creating and innovating never stops at Nike Golf with the newest edition to its Method franchise, the Method Core Weighted putter.
The Nike Method Core Weighted putter utilizes fixed weights on the heel and sole of the putter to provide proper weighting by putter length. The weights help to lower the center of gravity as well as move the center of gravity away from the face.
David Franklin, Nike Golf Master Modelmaker, stated, “Most people don’t realize that they are about 3/10 of an inch above the ground at impact. You need to keep the center of gravity of the putter as low as you can so that it never gets higher than the CG of the ball. This stops the putter from driving the ball down and creating backspin on the ball.”
The Method Core Weighted putter works to solve this potential putting inconsistency with its strategically designed weighting system. Franklin continued, “With the Method Core Weighted technology, we worked to get the center of gravity lower than the ball, enabling the putter to rise up at impact, lift the ball and turn it over quickly.”
The Method Core Weighted putter delivers stability and absolute confidence when every putt counts. Nike Method technology utilizes a milled face and Polymetal Grooves that have been proven on global professional tours to generate a more true and consistent roll, keeping putts on target.
The revolutionary Method putter technology was born of innovation and fueled by the demands of Nike Golf’s Tour athletes. This major-winning innovation delivers the roll, feel, and sound necessary for clutch putts in big moments. The Method Core insert is a combination of aluminum face and polymer grooves to lessen impact and vibrations and provide pure sound and feel.
Nike Golf’s Method Core Weighted putters will be available November 1, 2012 in five models, each with a lustrous tour satin chrome finish (4 blades; 1 mallet). The MC01w will also be available in a left-handed version.

I like the concept of the added weights. This is also a pretty nice price point as well. I have always enjoyed the Method grooves on the face so I will probably give the one left-handed model a roll.
Seems like you are seeing more and more weights added to putters. I found this quote interesting. “Most people don’t realize that they are about 3/10 of an inch above the ground at impact. You need to keep the center of gravity of the putter as low as you can so that it never gets higher than the CG of the ball. This stops the putter from driving the ball down and creating backspin on the ball.”
That’s pretty interesting and I like the sounds of the lower CG in a putter. To get the ball rolling forward immediately is definitely key to getting a better rolling ball that will likely result in more putts made. I have long been a fan of the Method line, can’t wait to check these out!
I love hearing all about the technology in it. Very interesting to me. I like the look of the blade one.
I really actually like the looks of the Nike line this go around in the flatsticks. The weighting and the finish fit my eye well. I look forward to getting to try them somewhere eventually.
I will have to check it out. I’m rolling with the Method core right now and this could be an upgrade worth looking into.
I like the way it looks alot and the technology is definitely interesting. I own a Method Core and the insert was way too hot for me so I hope this is a bit more muted. Would definitely give it a roll.
That mallet looks really good! I enjoyed the Drone so looking forward to seeing how these roll.
I really like the looks of these.
I haven’t tried many putters in quite a while. But I may try this one. I like the looks and the weights.
I like it.
The last couple of lines I’ve rolled I liked. I’m betting these will feel even better. Would like to see other designs.
These look pretty cool and certainly caught my interest, I have a Drone right now and am looking for something a bit more traditional like this.
What are the total head weights going to be?
I love the idea of weight changeable putters. Very nice looking.
This looks nice.
I’m glad another company is bringing this technology to the marketplace. While I’ve never played an adjustable weight putter I do see merit in it. I don’t however see the point in 4 blades and only 1 mallet style. Very acceptable price point as well.
Very nice.
If this rolls as well as previous lines then the weights are a great bonus!
It looks like it says the weights are fixed. I’m assuming that means they’re not adjustable right?
Very nice looking Putter line. I still Love the feel and sound of my Drone.
