Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, E-Commerce Customer Service Manager of Budget Golf, Scott Fawkes joins the show and they cover the gamut on releases and customer service stores.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Scott Fawkes talk about some of the customer service craziness that takes place at one of the largest online golf retailers. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Scott Fawkes goes Off Course.
Episode 144 is here and Dan and Scott discuss the following topics.
The Race to Release
Early Brand Success Stories
Weird Customer Service Tales
Teaching People How to Internet
Who is Scott Fawkes the Golfer
Everybody’s Favorite Topic of Shipping
And so much more

Scott comes across as a really laid back person and forthcoming in information too, that it was a really easy listen. I think anyone who’s ever dealt with online sales and website renewals could relate ?
The bit on teaching people how to internet is so great haha
Also interesting how the past few years have had an impact on shipping methods, how BG operates, etc. Good stuff.
OK was able to finish the ep on the way home — That is a great point about used clubs, and different people having potentially totally different ideas of what condition terms mean. I imagine that can lead to a headache and a mountain of complaints if people had a different idea of what each term meant.
Saving this for my 45 minute drive to the course tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Big fan of Budget Golf and @Canadan is ok also 😎

I’ve thought about this a lot… It’s either blown away with basically new clubs like what Callaway Preowned does, or it’s rampage level fury haha
There’s no win there.
Great episode. Enjoyed the behind the scenes look at Budget golf.
Just got around to finishing the episode. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The amount of golf bag sales was a surprise for me. Budget Golf has always been really easy and enjoyable to work with.
