Back in January, Bridgestone launched their new Tour B golf balls and the feedback has been tremendous on the THP Forum. Since that time, some confusion exists about ball fitting and how compression impacts performance. A new episode of TESTED is here and in this one we are talking about golf balls.
In this video we hit all four golf balls in the lineup and then breakdown the data. Does softer compression mean less distance? Where does spin come into the mix? We cover it all in this episode of TESTED!
Where does pure speed align in your list of choices as to what ball to put in play as compared to actual distance? Does the performance and data shown in the video above match up to what you have seen?
Tiger and Bryson DeChambeau are each using this lineup, albeit different balls. Tiger using the Tour B XS and Bryson opting for the Tour B X. Which one do you think you would fit into?

thanks my good man!
Sounds like this experience really resonates.
Really enjoy the low spin off the tee and good spin around the greens that this ball offers.
I was surprised at how playable it was even with the increased spin label it holds.
Kind of makes me want to toy with a few.
I just picked up a dozen last week. Looking forward to playing them. I also have 2 dz B XS, but for my meager swing speed, will send them to my son for Christmas.
I pay $41/dz and no extra fees for B Stones and get a good price on the Srixon Z Star. The Q Star Tours did not overwhelm me. Z Star is a very good ball. Good luck.
Non-contract player.
Ive also decided to move my kids (HS teams) back to Bridgestone this season. There’s not a bad choice out there, but the options to fit my kids individually here stands out for me.

Hit them straight and stay safe.
My high school kids are spoiled
Oh good test, please let us know thank you and hit them straight!
Short game spin.
I will bring you a sleeve in July!
Good to hear. I think for my swing that might be an advantage over the Contact.
YES!!!!
Another perk of the event.
I am working on something to take to hand out as well. Gotta spread the love.
Love. This. Golf. Ball.
Plus, durability is top notch.
Durability really is awesome, isn’t it.
Stop reminding me.
Testing RX and RXS next week. Durability wise how does Tour B hold up compared to e12 Contact. I’m guessing there is some difference. I have abused one contact ball in sim. Probably close to a 100 holes.
It’s the best out there still for me, and I’ve played all the new golf balls
Non urethane is usually always more durable, but, the RX will surprise you.
as others have mentioned, durability is top notch.

Mine is also, and the RX seems a great fit for me, I would try both the RX and RXS.
after a few months, I went on the Bridgestone website and filled out their online fitting questionnaire again. This time, I was fit into the Tour B X. I went ahead and bought a dozen to see if the change would make a difference.
HUGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE difference. Needless to say, im back on the train again and playing some pretty fun golf!
I like them both.
The tour bx is a great ball. Less spin and feels better then a pro v1x IMO
