A few months back Cobra released the King Cobra wedges with SnakeBite Technology. If you missed that announcement, we have you covered with a full preview here. Early reviews from THP Forum members have been stellar, so we brought them into the Tech Studio for another episode of TESTED!
In this video we start off with some technology talk, then hop into the hitting bay for some swings. Finally, we will walk you through the information that the Foresight GCQuad presented and give you some final thoughts.
How does SnakeBite Technology fare? Watch below and then let us know your thoughts.
This episode is full of information and data. Can the King Cobra wedges stand up to the competition? Do they offer quality feel and sound that one expects out of their scoring and short game clubs?
For more information on this specific wedge or any of the other clubs in the Cobra Golf lineup, check out their website at www.cobragolf.com.
This is on you.

The rust is growing on you? Sounds like you should see a Dr?
Got any a dem rusty clubs??
I know right! It may be difficult for me to ever game another brands wedge
With the scallop I feel like I could slid under a ants ass with my 60° Wide Low it’s so crazy.
Dangerous beauty’s, they will shred covers! ?
They are never getting them back
I have yet to thin one with my 60° Widelow off the barest of lies. It’s just crazy good for flopping. ?
I’m with you Tim. The widelow works great.
Should we be worried?
Not yet ?
Hahaha! I promised him, so he’s safe, but he’s begging me to not practice bunker shots.
I’m excited to test it out, the face is pretty mesmerizing.

The visceral reaction I had to that photo confirms that I will never be a raw club guy…
That’s decent.
FREAKING DARTS TODAY!
They’re both firm…and not….it’s sort of wreaking havoc on my mind.
The Fiddy….

Im one who has given Cobra a LOT of flak for refreshing the same wedge design for many cycles now, I wanted to see something new from them, and the Cobra crew definitely delivered.
I’m still one wishing there was another finish option because it’s a bright chrome, but the full face might be the best looking I’ve seen, and the sole choices are still wildly underrated from cobra versatility wise.
Miss, they’re firm, hit it solid and they feel as good as any wedge on the market.
I hit some really fun flighted and checky wedges. Excited to get back out with the them.

This has been my experience to a tee. They out out exactly what I put in, every time, on non-full swings. I don’t always judge my line or distance right, but I’m never surprised by the strike.
Groove pattern and and I am pretty sure the MIM didn’t have the full face grooves option from 56-60
The LW is a little firm at times, but only because I manipulate it so much I think. Otherwise, they’ve been a lot of fun really quickly!
Check out the video in the first post, @Canadan foes a great breakdown. These are pretty significantly different IMO.
Good video but doesn’t really address a direct comparison. I’m looking more in terms of feel. The MIM was all about the softest feeling wedge on the market (advertising) and I’m curious as they don’t seem to use MIM ads at all with this wedge does it feel more firm/harsh? Sound any different than the MIM? Wonder if there are any direct comparisons.
One big (personal) issue I have with cobra wedges are they are hard to try before taking the plunge. No one around me carries them.

Feel is the most subjective thing in golf, so hard to tell you the answer to that. They feel good, on par with other wedges on the market for sure.

Why not try someone’s in a few days?
@Canadan don’t you like the raw/rusting wedges?
The black for sure
I didn’t see the wide low grind option in store, and that makes me sad face.
The scallop on the bottom of the wedge is something I missed in todays round. I just couldn’t make myself hit certain shots with the Smart Sole
