Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Jeff Wood from the Indoor Golf Shop joins the show and they discuss the process of buying a simulator setup .
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Jeff breakdown how to be a part of the #GarageSimCrew and purchasing a golf setup for your home or office. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Jeff Wood goes Off Course.
Episode 148 is here and Dan and Jeff discuss the following topics.
The Process of Buying a Simulator
“Be Your Caddie”
Buying Without Touching
Educating with “Best of” Lists
And so much more

Good timing with the SkyTrak event bending announced soon ?
Off Course is a great feature here on THP.
Haha at the smiley face, which was the opposite of my face.
Man, it was too perfect.
That always stuck with me how I thought I had a bad setup more based on the mat than any other pedestrian aspect of my buildout.
It’s a lot of fun, can confirm!
Makes my ask of a simple addition to the house seem pretty basic ?
You’d think so right
I had approval and a spot picked out inside the house. Had the perfect setup with the SIG10 (SIG12 would have fit but off center hitting zone) and talked with him about customizing the panels. Was almost a go until I taped it out and thought about sound.
Their screens are on the quieter side. Even with that in mind, I knew how it would reverberate throughout the main open floor plan. Even into the upstairs and the boss would eventually regret the approval ?.
What was really great was the no pressure approach. Education is key to help keep expectations and reality in check. Ricky did a great job of that!
We couldn’t find a system that works for me in the garage and what I wanted. I need to remove/move the screen every time due to the wife’s car space. I would have purchased one from them if so.
I did finally pull the trigger on their 4X7 SPSofty and can’t wait for it to get here.
Great listen Dan! Anybody looking to build something, make sure you get in contact with these guys!
It was a fun show, and I learned a few things that I never even thought to worry about beforehand haha
