@agrsiv @Greg Kulbick You guys are in for a treat. Dormie service is amazing. @DannyLe is great. This will be an awesome time.

This is so awesome! I’ve been following these events since they started and they’ve always been top shelf. Still kind of in a state of shock. I had someone in my office talking about work, but I still had one earbud in and heard my name. She said I kinda glazed over and she could tell I stopped listening. Just a little while back, someone started a thread about what new courses people wanted to play this year. I didn’t have one in particular, but said I wanted to add a new state to the list. Not only do I get to do that, but I get to get fit by @DannyLe and play in Texas at Briggs Ranch! First experience in a long time and get to take in a Dormie Network club.

Golf will never feel the same after a trip to one of the Dormie Network golf courses! Briggs Ranch is one that is intriguing and can’t imagine the food that will be eaten.
We will have to chat as there is a putter cover I have been eyeing.

@Greg Kulbick and @agrsiv what are you most excited about?

I would have to say getting fitted by Danny Le is at the top of the list, but just by a small margin. I am excited to meet hang out with and golf with other THPers and make those memories that I keep reading about. Nobody I golf with is as interested in golf equipment as I am. I talk over everyone’s head and they probably get tired of listening to me talk about it. Here, I just fit in and a lot of times I can’t keep up with what some of you guys know. Shaft knowledge isn’t my strong suit so I am probably more excited about this than if I was getting all new clubs… I take that back The number one thing I am looking forward to is drinking as many free CANNED TRANSFUSIONS as I can ?. Right @JB

By the way I hear he like No Limit Hold’em.

I think being outside with a guy like @DannyLe will be impactful. While the fitting I got at Club Champion was successful, the fitter seemed perplexed by the combination of numbers I was producing. I imagine the gains can be even better.

His knowledge. I am going to do my best to be a sponge and soak up all the info I can. (I have never been fit for a driver and my iron fitting was minimal to say the least) Okay so far I have these mental notes about @DannyLe… when it comes to golf, ping pong, pool, or Texas Hold’em leave my wallet at home or in my case make sure that whatever I lose we bowl for double or nothing. Then again, I won’t have my bowling balls with me so I will just leave my $ at home.
Alright, its been several years since I’ve flown and never flown with clubs. Gonna need a travel case, what else do I need to know about flying with clubs? Probably going to get the Samsung equivalent of an AirTag so I can keep track of them en route. Stiff arm for the bag? Towels? Driver head in carry on? Halp.

Equivalent of the AirTag is good and I always remove the heads and put them in my carry on to be safe. Stiff arm maybe if the top isnt as sturdy as you would like.

My first time flying with clubs as well. My buddies have recommended that I remove my driver head. I am borrowing a travel case and am considering getting air tags as well.

I take the heads off that are removable. Then wrap all club heads with towels I haven’t had any issues. Fingers crossed that continues.

All of it?
It’s been a long time since I was at a THP experience, and I’m excited to be going. Briggs Ranch just looks amazing. Don’t get me wrong, I like nice things, but I also like simple. Just give me some good people at a good course with some good food, I’m a happy camper. Everything I’ve seen of Dormie properties just oozes that vibe.

Honestly my swing is so out of whack right now that the pro shop might be the highlight of the course for me. I have watched the hole by hole videos on Briggs Ranch website but after following the Quest Cup I am looking forward to meeting, hanging out, and having fun with @Greg Kulbick, @JB, and @DannyLe no matter how bad I (might) play. I was impressed by the lighted practice green we saw on the first night. What can I say? I am pretty easy to please.

Try not to get to worried about how you play. I’ve never been to an experience, but I haven’t seen a single person called out for the quality of their play. Show up with an open mind, and a desire to do your best 🙂
I had an abysmal round 2 weeks ago (First of the year), and a not much better range session last night. I’m playing a couple of nicer courses in Vegas this weekend, and expect to lose too many golf balls and lose some $$ to my buddy. Lessons will start after that, so hopefully I don’t embarrass myself at Arbor Links in June!
I lost all 3 of my matches and had the time of my life. Don’t worry about your game and just enjoy the experience
Also put some hand sanitizer in the bag for hole #6

I think the only way anyone can embarrass themselves on the course is with their attitude, not their score (but I know what you mean). I’m not so much “worried” about how I will play. It’s more disgusted and confused right now because I have been improving most of the winter and now even my practice sessions are abysmal. I plan to play whatever game I have at that time, enjoy the atmosphere, the experience, and the scenery. I can worry about my game when I get back home. I also have 3 more lessons between now and then so I am not a lost cause yet ?.
I was just thinking today, with the Briggs Ranch logo and the Dormie logo, I can justify twice as much stuff in the pro shop!

I’ve gotten three rounds in this year… with close to a 30 shot difference from round one to round 3. The first one was one of my worst ever, the last one of my better ones. I’m going to cross my fingers that this trend continues this year :ROFLMAO:
After telling myself I need to practice sharing the rounds live on here this past weekend, I realized that I was actually just living in the moment (not actually a bad thing)… and forgot to share! I’ll be working on that skill set a bit before June!
