New Srixon irons just hit the USGA conforming list and with it not only a view to what the future might hold, but also both RH and LH models were shown.
There were two new irons that hit today. Both the Srixon ZX5 MKII and the ZX7 MKII which follow in their general timeline of new offerings being every two years with an update.
Notoriously USGA Conforming list pictures are awful, but what do you think so far?
That’s really good to know ??
Answer maybe in them not mentioning it for tomorrow?
So likely it will be a staggered release I’ll pay less attention to
I do believe they tend to stagger releases but I’d bet the irons are announced before the end of January. I don’t recall them dragging out their prior releases but I’ve really only followed along for one cycle
I mean it’s already been staggered a bit, but it’s January now and the woods are some of the first things to go live. I wouldn’t worry about waiting too long.
I wouldn’t over look it on purpose. Just don’t like the delays. Mizuno delayed preorders on Forged and Tours but the info was readily available.
I don’t want “Pinged” ?

Everything you want to know has been up on the overseas sites already.

That’s cheating
Lol I think they want you to know. They want you to want them. And it’s why last time I got mine from Australia months before they came here.
Wow that version of the ZX4 looks much better than the last generation IMO
Yeah, they really do.
I need to quit looking at this thread.
I just got my ZX5’s late last year so I’m gonna stay with them another season. I will try and get out to hit the new ones though just to compare.
I got mine in early 2021. Two seasons with them. Still love them. So, the MKII would have to offer something significantly better to make a switch. Maybe a THP Srixon Grand Daddy!
From Srixon, have used the 565, 585, Zx5 and now the Zx4 with a few other brands peppered in between. Pics are of the 5 iron and pw, both have 1 degree weaker lofts from standard
Those pics are kind of blowing my mind. Looks really good.
x2…while the 5’s have been my focus, i can’t see why i wouldn’t go full banana and just go to the 4’s. i am sure i could somehow blend them into my current 7’s in some unconventional way
Seriously! That’s a five iron on the left. I can’t say I would have ever guess it was a 4.
I think there’s gotta be a way to do some blends, though 4 to 7 may be a more difficult.
well, considering i sometimes hit my 8i further than my 7i …my swing doesn’t allow for conventional remedies in club progression
I feel you.
I could easily see a 5-7 ZX4 and 8-PW ZX5 for my game. I would even be curious to see how I handled a ZX4 4 iron.
All that said, based on looks alone in those pictures I could easily transition to 4’s from my 545’s. I’m a distance w***e though.
tell me your story
They are pretty good. Hard to tell too much as they only had a regular flex modus 105 shaft. But I like how they look!
That’s the ZX4???? That profile looks so good
I too am leaning that way.
Oh fun day! Love it. I had 98% definitely plans on them but got thrown for a loop the other day and now I’m all screwed up again.
And I never like them the same at standard. I think the ones guys brought over here are all bent weak, and I played my last ones pretty weak. They look so much tastier over the ball. Hard to beat the feel though. I will never understand why they aren’t mentioned up there with some of the best on that.
Oh my.
Oh my indeed.
I am going to guess sometime during the week of the 16th. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the date announced this week. Nothing but a guess though
You’ll have info soon enough! ??
Yea, that’s why I want to see them in person. The in-hand pics are nice too. He mentioned 1 degree weak, which will slightly change the look at address.
as a matter of fact I do…but I can’t comment on that part.
Mark II
Kind of an antiquated term, but you still see it occasionally in other industries.
Antiquated, how I feel. ?
Say what now? Is that the perception? Individual swings and strikes and results always vary, but in a general sense I wouldn’t think they’d be known as high spinners. 770 maybe spin a bit less among peers, if you can call it a peer. Can’t think of much else though.
Yeah, they sure didn’t spin a ton when I tested them. In fact, they were surprising there, which accounted for how silly long they are.
