First Look: Cobra T-RAIL Irons

Last week we introduced you to the new KING Forged TEC iron set from Cobra Golf. Today another set of irons that will be on shelves soon is up, the T-RAIL, featuring Baffler Rail Technology. This new set is a departure from their previous lines that hit the most forgiving setup, instead they blend hollow body construction, hybrid like shapes with a progressive rail system that is incredibly intriguing. Transition Rail = T-RAIL.

Here THP Content Creator Dan Edwards, sits down with VP of R&D Tom Olsavsky and breaks down the technology.

The set makeup is rather unique as the iron-hybrid construction is in the 5-PW with a 4 hybrid to complete the 7 piece set that is available for both men and women.

  • Great info.. I cannot wait to hit these

  • Doesn’t the rails keep the center of gravity higher which goes against the advantages of this type of iron?

  • No actually. While from the ground slightly, the CG of the hybrid iron remains low and deep compared to traditional irons as the rails act as a skis so to speak to maintain speed through the turf.

  • It is refrshing to read about something really different. The video was awesome. Block move on your part to wear a UA 1/4 zip to Puma.

  • Great interview Dan & thanks to TO. Also great to see how much tech is going into clubs for high handicappers & seniors. It’s nice to have options!
