Scott Rockenfield, Lars Ulrich, Alex Van Halen, Tommy Lee, Neil Pert. Actually to many to name just five.

I won't go 5 deep, but Ginger Baker is absolutely the best I had the pleasure of hearing live.....and Keith Moon was a close second....

LP from Yellowcard. Youtube him.

Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy are my 2 favorites. Sad to hear Portnoy is stepping away from Dream Theater! They did pick up Mike Mangini who is a freak of nature...hope it goes well. Can't replace Portnoy though....can only go a different direction.

Scott Rockenfield
Wild Mick Brown
Scott Travis
Mike Newby (local guy I jammed with)
Shannon Larkin

Keith Moon
Nick Mason
Ginger Baker
John Bonham
Neil Peart

Keith Moon, John Bonham, Jon Bonham, Jon Bonham and.......... John Bonham.

Way too many good ones to list just 5 but Portnoy would be at the top of any list I did make.

Danny Carey
Joey Jordison
Shannon Larkin
John Dolmayan
John Bonham

Many Many Many more such as Taylor Hawkins, Neil Peart, Dave Grohl...

To add a couple I enjoy to the list, Bryan Devendorf and of course, Cozy Powell for blatantly showing off.

Tommy Lee
One-armed Def Leppard guy
Animal from the Muppets
John Bonham

John "Stumpy" Pepys
Eric "Stumpy Joe" Childs
Sammy "Stumpy" Bateman
Richard "Ric" Shrimpton
Mick Shrimpton

All of whom left us too soon

Honourable mention to Cozy Powell for playing on a song called "Death Alley Driver" then becoming one in real life...

Nice!! Rep given!
Or not..."You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to JNRadio again."

Mine would be:
Buddy Rich
John Bonham
Keith Moon
Neil Peart
Dave Brubaker

Quest Love
John Bonham
Neil Peart
Carter Beauford
Danny Carey(any one who can keep up with Tool's odd timing has to be mentioned)

Agreed. Same goes for the drummer from Soundgarden. Drawing a blank on his name....
Matt Cameron, saw him when he first joined Pearl Jam after SG split. Wasn't sure how he would work out, but he did a great job!

Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Tommy Lee, and Phil Collins

Rick Allen from Def Leppard and Phil Collins have to be mentioned. I have seen them both and they were amazing!!! Phil Collins drum solo of "In the Air Tonight" is by far the best drum solo I have ever seen.
